fog its a true GG vapt. I was the one that I made it but only a few people know that:)

If you only have the drip mode then for short mode you will need all the set exept the rebuildable part

Thank you Imeo! That explains why it sold me on GG :) The way the airflow works with the atomizer to create really thick, flavorful vapor is something that words cannot really describe. I had wondered what the big deal was with AFS and UFS, etc, but I understood as soon as I tried it. Now if only I could get all my juice to stop leaking out the bottom

Really excited to finally try the Ody out :)

beaten to the post by Imeo (who put it much more concisely ) :)

That's OK! There are so many parts, it makes me feel better to have it listed out so I don't make mistakes. I did find the exploded diagrams for dripping mode and short mode and it looks like I need the following:

Odysseus Base (510)
Upper Connection Nut
Mouthpiece Cone (Short Mode)
tank (Short Mode)
Top Cap
Mouthpiece Nut
And O-Rings (which I see CoV has the replacement set in).

I see that CoV has everything in stock but:

tank (Short Mode)
Top Cap
Mouthpiece Nut

So I am ordering everything else and then will be on notify list for the rest.

I guess dry burning is not a good way to clean the coil....I have a burnt taste now. How do you guys clean the coils....How often do you change them out? Should I have rinsed it before I dry burned it?

I find with stock wicks 2 days is about it for me if I want to keep the flavor I like. I dry burn whenever I clear the tank if it is convienent or every night whichever comes first. After about 2 days the coil wrapped part of the wick becomes hard even after dry burning or torch burning and doesn't seem to wick as well. I find the stock wick can handle dry burns or even the heat from a torch burn but as stated above I don't inhale for about the first 5 min after dry burning. Or if I am feeling patient an alcahol (vodka) rinse will help with the flavor.

With nextel I can get 3-5 days same dry burning process. But after about 3-5 days it also stops wicking as well so I replace. The nextel only seems to take about 5 hits to clear the dry burn taste.

Just for refrence I vape about 8-10 ml a day. The above timeframes are if I only vape on my GGTS/Ody. If I vape other devices the coil/wick lasts longer ie if I vape 50% on my GGTS I get about twice as long.

Well, my drip mode Ody came in yesterday. It's a lot smaller than I expected. Can't wait to try it out! Unfortunately, I don't have any NR wire. :( A friend is mailing me some to use until my ebay order comes in, but I was really looking forward to trying it out over the weekend. I've been looking around, and I've seen a lot of silver wire for crafts that I could probably get locally, but I'm not sure how important the gauge is - the thinnest I've been able to find is 24 gauge. Would this work, or do I need 30 or higher?
