My husband has tried on and off to starting vaping with me. He has tried about 6 different flavors 50/50 PG to VG. He says they all leave a taste like Flanders .... Ointment in his mouth after vaping any amount of time. Would switching to VG only make a difference for him? I've read that PG doesn't have a flavor but wonder what else could be causing this for him? I purchased from 2 different vendors so I doubt it is bad juice from both places. Thanks for any suggestions!

PG enhances flavor and nicotine delivery. VG produces the majority of the vapor. So I'd say a higher PG would bring out more flavor. I've never tasted Flanders .... Ointment so can't compare. :D

If he's just a guy with simple tastes like me, I found ALL flavors to be too much. I went to using unflavored, and he can just put a drop of menthol or something in it.

I wouldn't have bought cigs with these flavors.

Straight-up kind of thing, don't need to be tasting baked goods or fruity stuff all day long. Maybe Bacon tho:).

If he is being honest ,than what vendor's juice and flavors has he trie? Otherwise, he thinks cigarette taste good comparative?
Many struggle to find a flavor that is good to them. If he wants to do it,keep trying new venders and let him try them. If its something he doesn't really want to do, no juice will work or not taste undesirable.

Some juices will taste pefumey and chemical like if they're too fresh/ made recently. They may need to be steeped.
Long steep: place in dark cupboard for 3 weeks.
    Quick steep:
Shake bottle and place in hot tap water for 45 mins- place in dark cupboard.
Next a.m. shake bottle, remove cap to allow fresh air in and place back in cupboard.
Next a.m. shake bottle, remove cap and place in cupboard with cap off.
    Next a.m. shake and vape.

    Try try again..
Try different *oimizers, or different brands.. some ppl hate cartomizers becuase they can taste the poly, some people hate clearomizers becuase they can taste the wick.. so try a bunch of those.

Also try a few different juice vendors.. if you have 3 different juices but all have x flavor that tates like garbage in the mix they'll all taste like garbage..
If Their vanilla tastes like .... cream and you get Vanilla coffee, Pancake (That they happen to use vanilla in), and Orange Vanilla Cream.. they're all going to taste like Flander's .... cream

ALso have him try different types of flavors.. 1 style of flavor may not be his thing.. maybe drink flavors aren't cool, but he likes tobacco, or baked goods, or whatever.. if you have a local shop go in and try a ton of flavors and see if it helps.

    Also YES WATER
I know I need a drink or to change the head when my vape statrs tasting bad / off..

Go with simple flavours to start with...

The 'taste' description can be very misleading, and I'm yet to find a juice that can replicate the taste of an analog cigarette... there's no combustion with a PV so this is impossible to re-create.

Having said this, there are some flavors that can mimic the sensation - it's just a matter of experimenting.

When I first started I loved 'English Toffee' because to me, it really replicated the taste/sensation of a real analog.

Get him some Copper Creek House Blend, if he's says that tastes bad, then he's deffo taking the piss....

unless he's got a EGO Tank with those weird tiny atty's - in which case he could be right - those would always burn out on me after like five mins

I would try different types of juice from different vendors. Many really awesome vendors have sample packs. My husband thinks I'm crazy for vaping strawberries. He wants no part of that, only tobaccos and the like. Try Heathers Heavenly Vapes. They have a good name here and they have 4 samples for $8. I'd grab 8 different samples for under $20 shipped.

Where is this Heather Heavenly Vapes, can you post a link? I can't find it on ECF Forum Suppliers list.

Agree with different juices (not fancy just kinda plain) from different vendors. When I first started vaping, I went by the name and discription of the juice. Now I got about 30 flavors sitting in a closet that I never touch. Just go with sample packs. I'm one of the few that prefers a higher pg content. I usually go with 70pg/30vg.

It is certainly possible for all 6 different flavored juices not to be to your husbands liking. Finding juice flavors that one likes can be the hardest part of vaping for some people. I 'm not terribly picky about juices I can vape today but I can think of several vendors that I've tried several difference juices from that I didnt like any of them. When I first started vaping my taste buds were much pickier about flavors then they are now several years later.

Keep trying and as long he doesnt give up he will find a flavor that will work for him. :)
