I had cravings after about 3 weeks; I decided that when vaping I'd gotten used to inhaling less deeply. It sounds a bit bumb, but simply a minute of deep and relaxed (belly) breathing (not vaping) and thinking of all that carbon monixide free, and oxygen rich blood moving about my body sorts me out now if I feel a crave coming on. I didn't need to use the 'try a nasty analogue' technique.
