I tried some 26mg camel and it was pleasently close to a nice analog feel. Also, I tried out a janty and a prodigy and those puppys give a hit that your hubby would most likely be looking for... So far, my 901 with a fresh battery is perfect for me =). Bottom line is you just have to sample to find out whats the best for you (or him).

hmmm, definitely am going ot have to try that puffin... I had turkish blend tobacco ( and even though not sweet I didnt care for it) And I liked the double dunhill... but it was so rich I couldnt vape it all day..So I ordered it in reg and love it... but I still feel like it could have more of a bite to it and had thought about mixing a little of my riskee with it.....But I could see where your mix could really work

As for virginia...Strangely to me it has very subtle Tenn Cured undertone to it.. Same as the flue cured does ( least the totally wicket/runyandirect ones did) and i didnt care for it, since I just don't like that flavor as popular as it is....Although, strangely enough I Love MyVaporStores Virginia lol...Their liquids tast like the other name sakes but, subtley very different ( less sweet maybe) It's really nice...
And Ive definitely heard many times that RockeyMoutainVapors runyan#4 is dead on to puresmokers riskee...
I can't wait to try the winston...For the ultimate in strong tobacco I'd very much recommend Jantys "heavy shag" Some hate it..And some heavy smokers mix with it,swearing by it...I also agree for the more "stronger" analog experience everyone should have the Cubin Cigar in their collection...Those two would give any weaker tobacco liquids a boost ...

:: reading over my posts:: gawd, I need e-liquid rehab desberately lmao

What the heck, on a side note..I just bought honey and ginger from eliquid planet... added a touch of ginger to the honey as well as pear yummmmmm lol...Excellent break from all the tobaccos

I think there are multiple definitions of "harsh" and "throat hit" here that seem to be overlapping. To me, "harsh" is scratch, almost like there's flecks of broken glass in the vape or smoke. While not painful, like a scratch on your arm from a cat or a thorn, if the intensity were ratcheted up, it could end up being painful. Winstons are a good example for me. They were not smooth in the least, but I'm sure it could be different for others.

Throat hit, for me, is a physical sensation when inhaling that's hard to put to words. If it had a sound, it'd be "kaTHUNK" as the smoke/vape hits the back of your throat en route to the lungs. I've smoked some really strong cigarettes in terms of that throat hit, but were very smooth going down, i.e. no harsh scratchiness in the throat. American Spirit Perique Blend comes to mind for this.

For vaping, I'm still in search of that "kaTHUNK" sensation on inhale. I haven't found it yet, but I've come close with True Vapor's Marl-bro and 555 blend. Right now, I'm currently enjoying some WYS Cuban Cigar and and Tobacco flavor, both 24 mg. Great flavor, but not much feeling going down. Does anyone else understand what I mean by the "kaTHUNK" feeling, and perhaps have any recommendations?

Thanks!

I agree with you Data4. Harsh is just like you say.( like smoking broken glass that makes my atty smell like its burning grass )

I wish I could remember the company I bought this sample from. It wasn't what I ordered but it was more nasty and harsher than any cig I have ever smoked. If it were the last bottle of juice on the planet I wouldn't use it. If I ever get a replacement as promised I will tell you the name of the company.Sorry I must be blocking. :p

Since you haven't had any response, I'll throw in that I really like something called TAB. It's very possible that your hubby may not like it, though, because taste is so subjective. I also like Marlboro, Kent, Virginia and Winston. There are many, but I don't know if I'd call them harsh. That will depend in part on the equipment, etc. I think with a good atomizer and a well-charged battery, TAB is pretty good.

I agree. I don't like harsh liquids and I didn't care much for TAB (ruyandirect and healthcabin are the only two I know that carry it). It was just too much for my taste. Per ruyandirct:

TAB(blended tobacco flavor, with slight aroma but gives strong feeling)

I guess you'll have to do your own translation on what that's supposed to mean. =)

I suggest your husband get a Joye 510 and focus on a tobacco flavor that tastes good. And DON'T go with 36mg. These things are stronger than he might think. If he gets sick, he will probably become close minded toward the ecig. I had a friend do just that.

I have gone back to regular cigarettes and found them very weak compared to ecigs. If he smokes lights, they will no longer satisfy him. He would have to be smoking unfiltered Camels to think that ecigs are weaker then regular cigs.

That said, my wife would NOT get on board with ecigs. Not surprising, I guess. As a smoker, I know all the fake excuses I can come up with. Good luck :)

why not go the strongest then cut it with vg so you get twice as much for almost half the price.

don't understand why all strengths are exactly the same price but i guess we are either getting a deal with the strong stuff or being raped with the weak stuff.

It probably costs the same to produce 36mg as it does 11mg. It's still 80-90% pg anyway. Personally, I'm glad they don't charge based on strenght of nicotine, I cut with 1/3 vg anyway. If you've bought pg, you know it's not very expensive. The bottle probably costs the most!

Now, how come king size and 100's cigarettes cost the same. Always wondered that. Doesn't the 100 contain more tobacco?

--Prof Daffy
P.S. Oh, great. Now I get to go Google cigarettes for tobacco content to see why they cost the same. See what you've started...
P.P.S. I just did some googling and found an answer on YAHOO ANSWERS. Everyone had a differnt answer, but you've just got to read it. It's hysterical. They make the e-cig forum seem lika a MENSA thinktank!

My husband does smoke camel non-filters. that's why there is the need for a strong flavor/hit liquid. I was a really heavy smoker too but could not smoke his if I ran out. I have been happily smoke free for 9 weeks since day 1 of vaping, after 39 years of smoking.

Okay...I can really see where he is coming from now. BUT, I have found that the strongest consistent hit is with the Joye 510. I've gone from 18 mg down to 12 mg and hit-wise I can't tell the difference. Of course there is a difference as far as eliminating the craving :)

So I still think FLAVOR is most important, regardless of nicotine content. Make sure it tastes good and does not make him sick or the ecig will probably end up in the trash.

One does wonder if soon all of us will be tossing our ecigs in the trash :(

I have thrown away my e-cigs! Okay, so it's one piece at a time and I have replaced the components. Does that count? I mean, you can't hold on to the same atomizer forever!

Not that I'm a tree hugger or anything, but I wonder how much trash you would have created since vaping. Ashes, butts, cartons, packs. It adds up!

ECOPure Rich V-HI had a nice tobacco like flavor, not very strong, but good throat hit. I seemed to like it a little better in my mini fogger than my janty stick due to the warmer vapor, but it may be a good choice. The Menthol V-HI is great too (one of my favorites), so if you like a mix up, grab a bottle of each and try it.
