Help, I'm REALLY frustrated.

Hello everyone, newbie here. I have been having problems and am nearly crazy trying to fix them or prevent them, etc., etc.
I recently figured out that I am allergic to PG, so I switched to 100% VG ejuice. I will spare you the pain so here is where I am now. LOL
I have the Protank II and the Protank mini with the Ego C upgrade battery (pass through) WITH A 2.2 kanger coil and use Virgin Vapor 100% VG with 4mg nicotine. I have been having very inconsistent issues with amount of vapor, taste, throat hit, air flow/heat and going through ejuice fast at times with little, if any satisfaction. I am so tired of this but I don't have a desire to return to analogs. Please help if you can. Thanks.

The pro tank II seems to be one of those finicky devices. Or should I specify, the heads for them. I got a great experience from one head, and similar to what you experience from another.

The best suggestion I have is one I hear a lot for the Protank. Remove the top wick in the head, and it should help with the flavor, and vapor production.

There are lots of videos on YouTube to show you how to do that.

    Good luck

Since VG juice is thicker, try running your eGo in its 'upgrade' mode (button lit orange) - also, are you using the Kanger beauty ring? That can restrict your airflow on the ProTank 2 - you should be able to mount it on your eGo and inhale through the drip tip (without pressing the button) so that you get good airflow - if that's not the case, try unscrewing the PT2 slightly and then screwing the beauty ring up to meet it - keep doing that until you get a reasonable draw - not too loose though, you'll need to suck a little to get the VG into the wicks.

Lastly, with the PT heads (including the mini) there's 'flavour' wicks inside the head to prevent them flooding with thinner liquids - removing one or both of those should help for thicker liquids - there's a few videos on YouTube - this one might help.

    between here and there
    Welcome to ecf.
Sorry you are having so much trouble.
You could try to thin the vg just a bit. Drop one drop of distilled water into you bottle of ejuice and shake really well. This may help to thin without diluting the flavor. But don't add any more than 2 drops per 10ml bottle. Then your flavor will be diluted and it will not taste as good.

    Good luck
    :)

On top of what everyone else has said.

I'd recommend getting some distilled water (You can get a gallon of it for a few bucks) and mixing about 7% of it in your juice, it will lower your nic, but your juice will be thinner and flow into your tank better.

I use the PT2 as well, and I've found that thick juices don't work as well as thin ones.

Greetings, welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your vaping woes.

I bought a bottle of 100% VG e-liquid, and experienced muted taste, minimal throat hit, and an occasionally clogged clearomizer, as you mention. These are unfortunate characteristics of all-VG vaping, though this is not true of vapor amount - 100% VG should be kicking out decent amounts of vapor.

Hi Cinder, bummer on the frustration...
First .. I'd use only the mini pro II for a while.. as you vape you can cover an air hole with your finger... three of those tiny holes on the kanger pro mini II.
second.. with low nicotine, my experience is a lower throat hit. . it maybe be different for others...
third.. dry off the battery frequently.. LOTs even..
and finally.. i slide a q-tip into the end of my kanger pro mini II .. when I up end it to fill.. that seems to solve gurgling issues and extra fluid issues when refilling. ...
if you are bold enough to take the coil assembly off make sure the wicks fill the entire space both sides. if there is any space uncovered it leads to leaks, gurgles, and fluid simply passing through to your lips or to the battery.
Good Luck, and you've come to the right place.
Blessings and JOY, don't give up..... breathe and relax .. vape on.
    Bliss

Vg (vegetable glycerin) is considerably thicker in consistancy than Pg (propylene glycol). Nearly any atomizer device that uses a wick or filler material may have issues with thicker e-liquid.

As others have stated, you can attempt to thin the juice with distilled water.

You could also try a drip atomizer. These have no string wick or filler material to clog, just a bare atomizer that you drop small amounts of e-liquid on and vape. Not as convenient to use as a tank, unfortunately.

A progression along this line would be a bottom feeding mod like the Reo or VMod. These offer the full flavor of wickless juice delivery with an atomizer with the convenience of a tank.
