Looks like a Vamo paired with one of the new low resistance tanks; 0.5ohms if I had to guess.

If you built the coil, you should know the resistance. If it's a stock coil, I'd imagine it's 0.5ohms (or 1.2 are available for subtank).

In either case, the traditional Vamo's could only fire down to 1.2 ohms or so. Not sure about the newer 40W ones I've seen.

More info on your part would be welcome, of course :)

I don't know what the atty or PV is - and has been said, that would certainly help with diagnostics - but in simple terms, your PV is reading a resistance value below it's minimum range of operation/maximum current output... a value which should be found in your owners manual, or on-line.

It doesn't necessarily mean your resistance is actually 0.1Ω or less... it only means that your PV chipset programing is detecting a near dead short, and will not attempt to supply current.

The issue may be in the atomizer, or it may be a fault in the PV. Try a different, "known good" atomizer... if you get an accurate reading, perhaps you do have a near dead short in the atty.

My guess is you screwed the tank in too hard.

basically you have a short.

take the tank off and then press the button and if you still see the error message then the problem is with the mod itself; I don't expect that's the case.

otherwise the problem is a short in the tank/coil itself, or you are screwing in the tank too hard and causeing a short inside the 510 threadwell.

Getting the exact same thing here. Brand new V9 worked for less than 24hrs and started saying "overload 0.0 ohms". Error message came up while using a nautilus, checked with other tanks and get the same message. I even get the error with no tanks attached!

Done a bit of research and the problem could be the o ring but the centre pin is on a spring and is moving up and down smoothly so assuming I got a dud mod. Would prefer to fix as I would rather not have the month wait of sending it back to fasttech and them sending a replacement..

Any ideas on how to fix would be appreciated.

Yes, Vamo V9, and Jay probably hit the nail on the head... The Vamos pretty much have a fixed center pin... think of it like a very short and small nail being secured by an O-ring. If you push it down too far, it will make contact with the electronics on the inside.. Take a small screwdriver, and try to gently pry it up without damaging the O-ring. See if that fixes the problem.

And for future fixing reference, that O-ring WILL dry out after a while. If you are a good enough DIY fixer, you can replace it using the rubber connector from a Protank II/III coilhead.

Second one up from the bottom makes for a perfect replacement from my experience.
