Hello all.
I am thinking of making myself a new battery using one of those altonoid tins or similar.
I have been overwhelmed by all the info on the .com forum and could really do with some simple tips or instructions on how to do this?

I am currently using a ego c battery with the vivi nova tank and 2.4 ome heads.

Initially I thought I would use a square 9v battery and put a 4v resistor in the line and a switch. After reading posts of things blowing up and using armored batteries etc I feel this would be a bad idea.
I really have no real idea what voltage or battery to use etc....etc.

As you can probably tell I have no knowledge of electronics, however, I can soldier and follow instructions well.

I want to stick with the vivi tank and heads I have if possible and maybe recycle one of my batts to re use the 510 connection?

If possible a itemized list of things I would need would be great and any pictures would also be very welcome.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I will log on this evening when hopefully things will become clear to me?
Thanks again, Steve

This is a concern. Batteries can be dangerous.

Resistors are rated in "ohms," not volts. The rating of the resistor you'd need is dependent upon the voltage supplied and the current through it, as ohm's law states V=IR (voltage = current times current).

That being said, wiring a resistor in series with a battery will not work. You must either use a battery at the voltage you intend to fire the atomizer with or you need to utilize a voltage regulator.

What, exactly, is the goal? Longer battery life? High voltage?
