If you want ultimate simplicity go w/ a ego twist and a Kanger pro tank II setup. If you want more and wish to move up to RBA's ect then there are several good options going that route as well. Something to think about I wish I knew at the begining.

-You get what you pay for so while there are other options costing more in the long run they cost you much less and give a MUCH better vaping experience. I spent so much figuring out what I liked and am still doing so. Perhaps its just the natural progression in vaping but then again I wish I had skipped many of them now.

I'm running out of posts left before I can no longer post in here so to celebrate my graduation from the noob section, I am going to purchase a mod. I've currently been using the Halo G6 and I will continue to use it for when I'm out and about. I'm completely oblivious to how mods work and what's good or not so you guys will ultimately decide which one I get.

My friend purchased a zmax mini mod with tank, battery, charger, replacement coil and a drip tip for $85. Any other deals like that?

As i know there are many kinds of MOD in market, the best one you choice it is depends on your interesting. some can changeable with wattage and voltage, some normally . :p

Vamo all the way. You can get one for $25 (that doesn't include batteries tho) and you'll have it for a while. Batteries die while you're out and about? Drop some new ones in. I grabbed one of these and my life changed. I will admit that it's a slippery slope. I've since acquired a whole bunch of gear and it's become an obsession.

Here's my evolution:
Ego's > Ego Twist > Vamo > Provari > Sigelei #20. I also have 3-4 mechs in the mail right now. This has become my new hobby and that's fine by me. :)

I can only agree with what's being said by OPs.
Go for a simple Spinner or Twist if you're really tight on the budget.
If you like the look of it, the Vamo is pretty much the best money can buy for a first mod. (Get the Nitecore pack from FastTech.)
With it, you'll get resistance reading of your coils, nice VV / VW and safety against shorts / reverse polarity.
When you gain a bit more experience, I concur with the idea of getting a mech w/ a Kick 2 from Evolv.

I wish someone told me all this when I bought my first eGo-C... :)
Vaping has evolved not only in the number of products offered but in the number of advices and experienced vapers out there!

Agreed, Agreed, Agreed. Fasttech has very cheap devices because they are coming directly from China. I have a few things coming from them and its been approx 1 1/2 weeks already and It's still not here, but thats totally understandable. So if you are willing to wait 1 week to a few weeks, buy it from Fasttech.

And Vamo is a great inexpensive device to start off with. And if you don't like it, it's not like your breaking the bank with 25-60 bucks
