... I'm going to do all I can to reverse the ban.
...
My college recently banned e-cigs on campus. Many of us find this new ban to be unnecessary. I am trying to fight my school and persuade them to reverse the ban. I have created a petition to show them that people want it reversed.
Could you guys check out my online petition and sign it? I would really appreciate it. It only takes a couple seconds and then you're done. I'm going to do all I can to reverse the ban.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to try and get the ban reversed. What bothers me is that e-cigs do not belong in the policy! My petition explains why. I would appreciate it a lot if anyone could sign it or give me further ideas to help. Here's my petition... https://www.change.org/petitions/ca...ease-reverse-the-ban-on-electronic-cigarettes Thank you!
Which member on here is Kristin? Thanks for that tip.
Do what you think is Best.
But know that Most Policy Makers rarely do a Complete 180 and Reverse a Policy such as an e-Cigarette On Campus Ban.
What might be a More Winnable Fight is to Petition for a Revised Policy which allows e-Cigarettes use in Open Air Places like Parking Lots.
Thanks for this idea. I'll keep this idea as a back-up plan. I have a member of the Student Government Organization on my side and will try to get him to get the other members to agree with my. That may be able to help.
I have another idea along the same lines as this. I don't know if CCC has a science department, but if so it may be worth talking to some of the science professors. If they can be brought around to your side, they may be able to help convince the administration. Kind of like expert witnesses in trials, it helps to have somebody that understands the science and research behind things.

You obviously haven't had much experience with the upper levels of academia.
As a general rule, the ONLY professors who will "buck the system" in a university or college are the ones with tenure, who have nothing to fear.
From my understanding, most community colleges do not grant tenure.
Therefore, ANY instructor who "bucks the system" would be seen as insubordinate, a threat to good conduct, and most likely, summarily dismissed, and MOST instructors don't want to risk their careers on taking a moral stand--even if they are right an the institution is clueless, reactionary and brainwashed by ANTZ propaganda.
I suggest a "Vape-In" on campus to protest. I'd attend.
Oh, yeah, and BTW, I signed the petition...
I second this. Go get yourself some 0 nic juice to carry around so you have some ammo to fight them with.![]()
