I have 28 and 30 guage kanthal. Various drill bits in sae. What would you suggest to get me in the 1-1.3 ohm range?

1/16th in drill bit, 28 gauge kanthal, 8 wrap microcoil should net you about 1 ohm on the button.
10 wraps - everything else the same - will get you ~1.3 ohms.

I've had my REO about a week, and just rebuilt, and SHABAM - THAT'S what I was lookin' for.
I think my first couple coils, I dunno...maybe I tried too hard.
But this thing is firing fast, sizzling a little how I like it, and producing tons of flavor and vapor. I am VERY happy now!!
2 mm (basically 5/64ths, but I got this little set of metrics to use - 15 bits from 1 to 2 mm for $4)

7 sloppy wraps
squeezed while glowing, but not a perfect micro
I think it read 1.05
near the edge, slightly tilted

I thought it was too high
I thought the cotton was a little snug
The coil and airhole landed 90 degrees away from where I wanted
But WHO CARES, it's vaping fantastic.
(plus, I can hold it with the door facing me, and then the airhole's "up")

Replace the o-ring that sits under the atty with one that's slightly thicker and BAM, you'll be all lined up!
My coil and wick are vaping well, but I'm not getting that full mech experience. We'll see what today's coil brings, lol!
Depending on the mech it might have a lower voltage drop, so to compensate you'd need a lower ohm coil on the Reo to get the same vape.
Lol - I love it when everything "goes wrong" with a Reo build - and it still comes out right!
