i thought about the lv but from what ive seen it looks weird to me like its being held together with black electrical tape may To myknowledge the sd is sold out and dont know when its getting restocked. The reason ive chosen those devices is the price point. The screwdriver is nice but not looking to really drop 150 enless everyone thinks it worth spending over 100 dollars more over the other devices.

The screwdriver is currently available. It's worth every hard earned penny.

so does it really out preform the others

Yes. Great vapor and cheap long lasting batteries. Additionally it is a proven device while the prodigy is not. I also think that there is no sense in a 7 volt device. I have made a magnum mod and can't vape the thing at 6 volts because it's too harsh on the throat after prolonged use. I think 7 volts would be too harsh not only on the throat but on atomizer life as well. 3.7 volts when delivered consistently is all these atomizers need to deliver a good vape. If the screwdriver is too expensive for you to consider a ruyan e-cigar from Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop or a Janty Stick. Both use the same battery and deliver the same performance. The stick wins out to me because of the manual switch, the built-in USB passthrough, small form-factor and once they are made available for purchase again will retail under $100 or so I think.

For the record I also have several Duras (510) and 901s. I love both of them as well but hate the battery life. If you want to play battery management quest and give up a corner of your house to eight to ten chargers then I would think the 510 would inch out the 901 due to having a manual switch. The cart capacity is a better on the 510 as well but it's not much of a factor since you can use 510 carts on a 901. I use the 510 carts on my screwdriver all the time.

Sorry for the long post but just wanted to explain my recommendations a little.

its not the waiting part i have a unit to suffice till I wait .... I just wand a good unit and a quality unit that will last for a bit. Just wondering if the majority thinks the prodigy would be worth the wait or the 901 or 501 would be just as good..

If the Prodigy is on par with the Screwdriver which I am fairly confident it will be since Steve's is providing at least a 6 month warranty and possibly a year, then it will be more than worth the wait. 7-8 hours of battery life with consistent throat hit and no concerns about dripping and gumming up the battery/switch, as well as being able to get batteries anywhere???? I don't see how you can beat that.

wow not what expected when I woke up this morning ... almost dead even im more confused than ever ... and still no one has answered my question if the screwdriver is actually preforms and is worth the extra 100 dollars.

I've had my SD for two months and to answer your question, YES!!!!!

7-8 hour battery life, manual switch that provides great throat hit, cheap batteries ($3 instead of the $15-$20 for auto-switch batteries), great vapor and you can get the batteries anywhere.

Hope that answers your question.:)

I have owned my screwdriver for almost 30 days. It is definitely worth the $$ only if:

1. You like being able to vape for 7-8 hours without worrying about changing the battery.

2. You want a throat hit with every draw

3. You want a device that simply put, works all the time with no hassle.

4. Cheap (4 for $5) easy to get batteries if needed.

No passthroughs needed, no extras. Just but the battery in and go.

If you are ready to step up to the big boys league of vaping, get the SD.

The GG has a 2 year warranty, will take knocks and drops. It stands on its end for easy dripping and doesn't roll. I'm still tempted by Zi moshis and prodigy (but when they're available). The SD is available too, but its stardom seems somewhat displaced amongst the new risers :)

While the 2 yr warranty on the GG is impressive, I do not think that it justifies the large price tag on the device. I have spent a ton on vaping supplies, but I do think that the $150 that I paid for the SD (worth every $$) is about the top end that I will pay for any mod. After all, there are not many parts in any of these mods, they simply would not be that expensive to fix even if something did go wrong............. As far as the prodigy, I am going to sit on the sidelines and see what the reaction is after a couple of months. I'll let the others be the test subjects on this one. I am only paying $75 for my LV so while it is a somewhat new device I'm OK with giving it a try for that price.
