i think any tank can do the job its only about looks
i think i have most of the good tanks out there it realy depends on the carto your using

I feel blessed that I'm one of your only 3 posts since January.

As of now I have a regular and XL V2 Naked Phiniacs, one with delrin caps and the other with SS caps, and also a Pro-V Cartomator SS. We'll see how they work once I get the batteries and charger in. I have XL Boges and just put an order in for standard Boges, both 3.0 ohms.

Update! Got the satin black V2 in along with the batteries. I'm thinking I might have been struck by BOGEGATE though.

First standard length Boge for the regular Phiniac with delrin caps on the satin black... Nothing. No fire. Check the V2 diagnostics - voltage is fine but the atomizer check shows failure. Punch a new one and maneuver it into the full tank and it's now firing correctly.

First XL Boge on the Phiniac XL V2 with SS caps on the chrome V2 fires as well. Diagnostics show no issues on either voltage output or atomizer.

I've got good sized holes punched with the Siam carto punch on both of them and let the juices soak for a bit. Both have a very metalliccy and burnt taste. I'm not sure if that will go away or not. I'm using the incredibly strong tasting Arctic Wolf from VaporGod and am not getting much flavor at any of the voltages I've tried which is a testament to how strong tasting that burnt metallic taste is. I know it's technically working because I'm petty nic'd up right now.

Suggestions?

Out of the two finishes I definitely prefer the satin black as it gives a better feeling hold. They are definitely both beautiful though, I'll have to take a picture and post.

I watched a few more videos on Cartos and tanks and saw a lot of people filled the Cartos via the condom method, then punched the hole or holes, and then put in the tanks and filled. I tried that on a fresh carto but have pretty much the same result with the severely burnt taste at any voltage. Very disappointing. I can only come to the conclusion that these are the infamous BOGEGATE Boge Cartos.

If anyone has any further tips please let me know, I'd love to have the great taste to go along with all this nic I'm taking in trying to figure this out. :glare:

Thanks for the reply nonetheless Fisty.

I'm just really hoping I can figure something out. I don't blame this issue on the ProVari's at all, they are providing the correct voltage but the carto's either really suck or I'm doing something terribly wrong. That said, I've done a lot of research and tried multiple methods to no avail so I'm stuck with this crap taste for now.

Try one of the cartos unpunched just by itself on the provari? As long as you're filling it around the edges until it's slow to absorb more juice (like filling a zippo) then there really is no way to mess it up. Let it sit for about 5 minutes after you fill it and then try it at like 3 volts or so. Take the guessing out of it that it's something you're doing wrong with the tank installation.

Edit: make sure to not to get any juice in the center hole, after it's sat for 5 minutes blow very gently through the center to make sure and clean off the connecter with a tissue, just to rule out any weirdness from that.

Yeah that is what was said in the other thread as well and I'm going to give it a shot as soon as I get home. I'm really hoping this works.
