help me understand something

ive been wanting to try some RBAs, but i was wondering if they all leak if you put them on their side or upside down. i dont plan on using silica wicks and will probably go with SS mesh.
so do they all leak or are there some that dont?

for the most part you cannot, or wouldnt lay down the atomizer. most will leak , some more then others, some might not at all, but i still wouldnt chance it. they are just not built to be laid down.

However, from personal experience (drunken sleep in a couch or bed, evic falls out of, or sits in my pocket all night upside down or completely horizontal) mine has not leaked yet. I'm using an AGA-T2.

My rebuildable drunker tanks don't leak and I carry them full in a case laying down all day. I guess it depends on what you are using.

i guess if you keep the fill hole closed and have a fairly tight wick, then it wouldnt leak. it just depends, some do some dont, but in general genesis style atomizers have the possibility to leak when not upright.

im yet to get a genesis to not leak when on its side unless the tank is really low or the wick is way to tight to allow proper wicking im sure it is probably possible i find it easier to just use my RBA's at home with a ecig stand and just use carto tanks or clearo's when im out and about.

The Drunker is known not to leak. I think it has to do with the holes being mostly filled by silica or cotton (for those who re-wick) that keeps the juice back. SS mesh wicks don't really block juice, so most Genesis-style setups will definitely leak.

i know mine leak, but i still take them out with me to vape. you just have to be carefull. its like a drink, keep it upright or it will spill. you dont keep a drink home just because it may spill. think of it like a drink and its fine

ive noticed that the SS wick is usually kind of like a rod that goes into one of the holes. and a silica wick would usually go into 2 of the holes which would make sense why it would leak less. why not make the SS wick into a shape of like a horse shoe and plug up both holes? woudnt it leak less or am i taking crazy pills?

There are plenty of threads for u wicks on here, most Gennies come with plugs for the fill hole anyway. The problem is, with the fill hole plugged with either wick or the fill plug it has a tendency to vacuum lock the fluid chamber unless your wick is really loose.

If you have to use ss mesh, than like all the others said, you can expect the leaks. I will give a ring out for a good silica fiber RA. Odysseus, Terminators, Kayfun/Svoemestros do not leak. And if you really want to make sure they wont, lets say you are going on a long trip and it wil be laying down for a day or so, you can adjust the juice flow and it shuts it tight.

I know that most people are either Genesis fans or silica fans. It all depends on what you get from the taste. YOu can get giant clouds from both and if its because you want a high end look, these all are beautiful and built to last a lifetime. I can lay my PV with my Odysseus on top it wont leak or even flood.
