Help! Need to get new mod with adjustable 510 pin.

For 5 years I have been using the cloupor mini box mod that uses a single 18650 battery. Alas my mighty box mod is showing its years and needs replacement. I would like a mod that has as a minimum the following features, most important first:
1) adjustable 510 pin (not spring loaded)
2) Uses a single 18650 battery
3) LED screen
4) Variable voltage/wattage
5) Important safeguards overtemp, fire button depressed too long etc.
All the other things that fall under cosmetics I really don’t care. Function is what’s important to me.
Does such a device exist?
Please suggest any and all devices that you know meet the above criteria. It’s getting so hard to find things on the internet without having to weed through all the misrepresentation and scam products. I’m certain I can get the real information on authentic devices here at E-Cigarette forum. I Thank you all for your kind help.

I heard around here at some point that there were some clouper t8s for sale cheap. Bigger than your old mod but it would work.

It’s the we’re down hot connector that is hard. Basically no one does that any more

Why do you want a mod with adjustable 510 pin? What's the point?
Thank you for your comment.
The point of having a hard adjustable 510 pin is: The male 510 on tanks are not all the same length. Being able to adjust the female 510 seat connections allows for the use of just about any tank ever made.

Also if the mod’s 510 pin “adjusts” via a spring loaded mechanism, they have a tendency as they age to stick and/or not extend fully. Thus the tank that worked when pin extended fully will no longer work when the spring sticks in the retracted position resulting in the connection no longer being “made” (in electronic terms the circuit is not closed).

I hope you understand “The Point” of having an adjustable 510 pin.

So do you use a tank that only works with an adjustable 510? A couple of my older mods had adjustable 510 but not so much today except mechs, and haven't had any tank that wouldn't connect...

I have a couple of tanks that would only work on my old Cloupor with the 510 pin extended. Those same tanks won’t work on my KangerTech SubBox, which has a spring loaded 510 pin. I could retire those tanks but a couple of juice flavors just seems to taste better when I use those old standby RBA tanks.

Dear Bombastinator,
Please excuse my lack of knowledge in terminology. What did you mean by “we’re down hot connector that is hard” and... no one does that any more... Do you mean no vape hardware companies build mods with adjustable 510 pins? IMHO that was a darn nice feature and a shame if it’s gone by the wayside.

As you explain it, that does sound like a darn nice feature. Probably less nice in the eyes of a manufacturer when they realize they can sell a new mod in some cases when a simple spring loaded connector binds up?

Right. I've had a couple of mods with spring 510 pins that stopped springing. I have mods with fixed 510's that some tanks won't work on. Never had an adjustable mod, but I can see the benefit.

Another option is to use an adapter. They have a male 510 on one side and female on the other, on some of them the pin up the middle is adjustable in length. Just a few bucks on FT. I've used them on fixed pin mods when a tank wouldn't connect.

Gotcha....there's always a mech, as most have adjustable pins, also it can be just your Kangertech that has a weak spring and not indicative on newer, non adjustable mods

I don't think the problem is that spring loaded springs don't work, I think the problem is your experience involves things like a Kangertech Subbox.

In the vaping world this is like saying you want a computer preloaded with Windows 95 because your Quicken 98 doesn't work with Windows 10.

If you can find an adjustable 510 mass produced chinese mod, you're most likely looking at something that can't handle (as you put it) "just about any tank ever made". Maybe tanks from yesteryear.

Take a look at something like the Hexohm 3.0. It pretty much misses every checkmark you have on your list, but something in this range or style sounds like what you need. It has an amazing spring loaded 510 and a lifetime warranty. If your spring loaded 510 somehow fails, they'll fix it. You can get a used Hexohm for 100-150 and the lifetime warranty is transferable.

I did. That was an annoying autocorrect error. They have been replaced by spring loaded automatically adjusting pins. They cost less.

1) adjustable 510 pin (not spring loaded)

Very tough to come by these days, but if I find more, I'll jump on them. I MUCH prefer adjustable to spring loaded.

The old Ola-X Hero (box) had them, but they're gone now (unfortunately). The Wizard Evolved Apprentice (tubes) has them too, if you're fortunate enough to stumble onto one.

Certainly among new consumer mods like a Kanger an adjustable 510 over a spring loaded is just about impossible. If you want a regulated mod with an adjustable 510 you might have to go with a custom build, or find a supplier of adjustable 510s and install and solder in yourself if you're comfortable doing that work. Probably the most cost effective solution I can think of.

Hello @Fillimena
If you want a bf mod, The SVA Penguin Clone by YTFK has the 510 you want !

here : http://www.geekayvapes.com/sva-penguin-clone/
You see it at time 6:09

JJ
Looks like they do several sva copies, never even knew they did clones of sva. The new authentics are indeed hard to get, but do see quite a few resales on FB sales groups , but even those are 3x's the price of the clones. Sva's new, non squonk mod kimberly, is my new dream mod, probably take me a couple years to acquire
