Help Needed.

Hi,

I am in th UK and i am very keen to get my first ecigarette, i recently ordered a mini-cigarette V2 from v-cigs.com however after watching some videos on youtube i have now cancelled.My reason for cancelling was that there was not much smoke coming out of it compared to the loongtotem so am now temted to order one of these problem is they are in China.
I would be very greatful if you could advise me on the best ecigarettes there are i want a mini one that produces lots of smoke.
Should i order the loongtotem or are there ecigs out there that are just as good?

Either get a mini (black ones are cool) from theelectroniccigarette co uk or go on ebay and buy from pillbox38. You wont be disappointed. I got mine today and am totally pleased with it. Get yourself the starter kit along with a couple of spare atomisers and a bottle of fluid (strength depending on your smoking habits). You wont be sorry my friend.

I agree Mr Frog..I ordered my 901 black from there aswell and it produces a lot of vapour..getting a bottle of fluid is a must as the cartridges will last an hour max..I also bought a bottle of Vege Glycerin to add to my liquid which has increased the vapour significantly

Nazareth is the forum Loong Totem expert. He usually says the vapour from the Loong is better than anything, it's handy because after a couple of refills you discard the atomiser and don't have to worry about maintenance. On the negative side, the batteries aren't great, many arrive faulty and they are overpriced, especially for shipping.

Also on pillbox38 ebay shop it says that a cartridge will last for up to 600 drags is this true?

yeah well,welcome to the reality of the situation...

ive never found any cartridge last me even half a day without refilling,ditto batteries...and that includes penstyles,and the now defunct janty HDs...

but then im a constant heavy esmoker...if youre a light or occasional user,or just more easily pleased,then you might have more luck...

a 901 cart is equal in puffs to maybe 5 or so cigarettes.

edit-yes theyre the same ecig,and use the same carts....and no,that puff count is crap.

As far as I know the two minis are the same but the website mini has a rather nice logo on it. As for the carts I think you would be hard pushed to get 600 drags out of it. I've been taking puffs on mine all afternoon and it is still going but we'll see. I'm not experienced enough to really answer that one.

I was out with mine on Sat night around the bars of Birmingham..don't know about 600 drags but needed 2 carts along with the liquid to top up..and used two batteries from full

although it did get passed around a LOT with stangers coming up to you to have a go

If the price of one cartridge per day seems expensive you must be a very light smoker so logically your cart usage will be a lot less than other people. How many cigs do you smoke?

The 901 is a fine smoke by the way although I have found that some atomisers/batteries work better than others.

Add just enough to make the filling look moist. If you end up seeing a puddle develop on top of the filling, you have filled it too much!

Hi, I am also a newbie and I'm using the DSE901. for me, using 1 cart is roughly 10 to 15 analog cigarettes as I am a light smoker, I dont draw hard. So one cart usually lasts a day. Compared on what I was paying for analog cigs if I bought a 'MINI' starter pack from Pillbox38 with 50 carts each time I would be paying about a third to a quarter of what I was paying before. If I just bought batteries and atomisers and juice it would be even cheaper.

Patience isn't one of my virtues so I then ordered one of the black 901's along with 50 cartridges (18mg). I think I might be one of the several gadget collectors on here. If these e-cigs don't arrive soon I'll have a collection before I've even had my first vape!

If 1 cartridge is around 5 cigarettes I should be going through 5 cartridges a day. This seemed a bit pricey so I also ordered 30ml of the Totally Wicked liquid (36mg).

I wonder how long this will last and whether I could use just 1 cartridge a day (or less?) by topping it up with the liquid?

Plus - with both the Janty and the 901 ("black mini e-cig" - I think it's a 901) I ordered 2 batteries and 2 atomisers. Should I have ordered more?

I think you will need more batteries based on my similar cig consumption.

Have a look here for information about nicotine levels - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/nicotine/2789-eliquid-potency.html#post44445 Most people vapourise around 2ml per day so if you vapourise 2ml of 36mg eliquid you'll be getting the equivalent of around 72 cigs.

You should be fine with the 901 and the Kissbox Classic, they are the two most popular ecigs on the forum.

Cartridges can last days if you top them up with juice, you don't have to keep replacing them.

I hope this works out - need to stop smoking before winter sets in. The Other Half has put her foot down and I'm now asked to go outside to smoke. Kate - you being from here, you'll know what a grim experience a Belfast winter can be. We didn't even get a summer!

From your info it looks like e-smoking is a little less than half the cost of the "real thing" but with many other benefits; not getting soaked and then frozen being high on that list. I'm one of those smokers that actually likes smoking and hope the move to vaping might keep me around to annoy my family for longer than their wilting grimaces suggest when I light up

Kate - I've just re-read your post and wonder if I shouldn't have ordered a weaker liquid. 2mil per day of 36mg is more than 72 cigarettes. I don't think I've EVER smoked near 72 in a day. Isn't nicotine a stimulant? With that kind of overdose it'll be like putting a nymph on ......!

(Hmmm - come to think of it ... I might just be asked to stay indoors! )

Sorry to disappoint you Soot but my understanding is that nicotine has the opposite effect from ......

An EXCESSIVE overdose of nicotine can cause a semi-permanent state of severe inactivity, darkening vision, loss of hearing, and inability to move... more commonly called "death". Once you have achieved THAT level of overdose, it becomes pretty hard to get yourself out of it, and normally requires the help of friends, family, or paramedics.

Normally (for me), when I vape too much, I sweat and get an upset stomach (which, I always try to treat with alcohol, preferably Southern Comfort), but your experience may vary. My suggestion would be to stop vaping if you feel like you are ill, or start sweating while vaping.
