Hi. I am pretty new to vaping, have been going for around four months and am using a MVP 3.0 with an atlantis.
I have been having some trouble in terms of burnt taste, not knowing what ratio of juice to use ect.
I then looked into the possibility of getting an RDA, to be honest I had no idea what it was.
I have spent the day on Youtube and think I have a rough idea what it is, in terms of bulding a coil and wick, but still confused slightly.
I have no idea what the difference would be from using 5 wraps to create a 0.3 ohm, compared to using thicker wire and creating a 1.5 ohm or something similar. What difference would this make to my vaping experience?
Also, Im looking for some reccomendations, on a mod thats nice and easy, and more importantly, reliable. A drip tip, atomizer and some sort of mod that Is good as a first RDA, please help!!
Regards, Kyle.
It's complicated Kyle.
Before worrying about ohms start with your mod (battery) read the manual. It will tell you the safe operating range.
Next. How do you like to vape.
Single coil? Then get an atty that uses dual coils but also has the option to use a single coil.
Air flow. Do you mouth to lung like a cigarette or a direct lung hit? [moderated] you want an atty that can be airy but restrict the airflow the way YOU need it.
Are you a cloud chaser or a flavor chaser?
If you like to blow big clouds get an atty with a wide bore or chuff drip tip.
If you want great flavor get a short atty such as stumpy, Freakshow Mini.
Lastly get some QUALITY tools such as an ohms meter, good scisors, wire snips and screw drivers.
You need to know the ohms so you don't destroy your mod.
Sharp scisors to cut the wick. A lot of people use manicure scisors to cut their cotton.
You need to snip the wires cleanly, and if you are building in an RTA like my Goblin Mini, Goliath, Kayfun, etc you need to clip the wires CLOSE to the screws to keep the wire from touching the chimney and shorting out.
Screw drivers don't pick up something cheap at the dollar store or interesting gadget at Wal-Mart, ACE Hardware, etc.
You want a good set of jewelry screwdrivers. These are hardened and will not mess up the screws the way cheap screwdrivers from China, Viet Nam and some in America will.
