Hey guys new here! I am currently using an Evod and an Itaste MVP 2.0 I am using the standard Evod tanks, also purchased a Kanger mini protank2 and a regular size Kanger protank 2.

At this point I am ready to step it up. I do love the itaste but I am looking for a tube like mod something like the VAMO V5, however I am having trouble finding any sort of reviews that post Comparisons of the models so I can make a informed decision. I am also looking to try different tanks running into the same problem. Most everything I find are just websites trying to sell their products no unbiased reviews. (I find the protanks to often give me a burn taste) I am going through Atomizer heads Quickly.

Anyone know of any sites or have any suggestions on what I should try next?

Thanks in advance.

I have found that YouTube has helped me a lot as far as reviews. I recommend checking out Pbusardo, IndoorSmokers and GrimmGreen YouTube channels! Pbusardo gives tons of info and really does an amazingly thorough reviews and even comparisons at times. I have the MVP also, and Protank 2 mini.... I find that the PT2M mutes the flavor which I really need as I'm only in my 7th week of vaping. I bought 2 carto tanks that I really like, the flavor is so much cleaner and much better overall I think. As far as the battery.... If you want vv/vw like you have in the MVP I've heard good things about the evic.... They have a new one coming out soon I think the e mode or something like that. Also I've heard great things about the lava tube but I haven't tried either. If money isn't an issue it's well known that you simply can't go wrong with a provari! Personally I am looking into a fully mechanical mod right now, b/c I want to get into rebuildable atomizers to save money on buying heads, and the flavor is suppose to be second to none.... I know I want a Kayfun lite plus tank, just need to decide on a mod now! Hope that helps.... Good luck! :)

going from an mvp to a vamo isn't really an upgrade, more of a sidestep(some may say a downgrade).
upgrades from here would be an innokin SVD/Sigelei ZMAX (have the same chip as the vamo but much better built), the itaste 134, provari, DNA20/30 and possibly the new sigelei 20w (though I'd give it some time to work out the kinks before you buy).

where I would go rather than a new pv is a rebuildable tank. Run a nice 2.0ohm coil on your mvp and you'll be able to set it how you like it

The Chipset in the MVP 2 is superior to the chipset in most other budget APVs- Vamo, Seigali Zmax, SVD, etc. So no real upgrade unless you're willing spend lottsa $$. Prolly time to check out some other toppers.

Any Recommendations on a Rebuildable Tank? It almost seems that everything I see online just get good reviews. And Skeens I also have been watching Grimgreen and other videos online but none of them ever say anything negative about the products they are reviewing. its almost as if everything is perfect I find that hard to believe really. So far I am in the middle with the protank mini and protank. I am literally going through a head a day. So maybe you are right Inanitydefined. Any suggestions on where I may start on tanks?

On a side note I have been "vaping" since Jan. 10th without using one cigarette. But going through these heads and constantly getting this burnt taste is starting to push me away.

I have been using a 50/50 mix high nic (24mg) from MTBAKERVAPOR. mostly their banana mixes. which I find very nice when it is not burnt. I have flipped the gasket over and even tried removing the flavor wicks and dry burning also have done nothing. Cant seem to avoid the problem.

Thanks to everyone for your help!

Unless you hate the box look the MVP2 is a good upgrade from any ego PV. You might want to try cartos and a tank. Your MVP has enough power and adjustments to find a great tasting vape.

I love the Kayfun Lite Plus for a rebuildable tank, haven't gone the Genny route myself yet as I have heard of all kinds of problems with the wicking system but I'm sure I'll try eventually.

Agree about the upgrade comments, you can sidegrade for a different style vv/vw mod for not a lot of money with something like the Vamo V5 which I own and love but upgrading will cost $$$. Maybe time for a mech mod if you already have a good vv? Can get into that on the cheap with a Magneto or EHPro EA mod.

I would recommend the kraken (I love that thing) but you'll see lots of people say go with a kayfun and they may be right. What you might try first is rebuilding a protank head
LET'S REBUILD A KANGER PROTANK 2013 - YouTube
you said you have been burning them out quick, so chances are you have a test subject or two lying around. My preference is cotton wick, but to each their own.
You say you are vaping 50/50? What wattage are you trying to run? I find 50/50 doesn't run well over 8-8.5 watt on stock kanger bottom coils. get a cotton microcoil in there and you can max your mvp out

I think I am going to stick with the iTaste MVP 2.0, starting to realize maybe its the tanks im using.

Going to look into this Kayfun.

And maybe the liquid too if it is destroying coils in a day  I have never used this flavor, but question - does it get darker in your tank as you vape? Like go from golden to brown?

lol, I literally have about 40 Heads laying around haha... 3 weeks in.

I am vaping at 7.5 Watts, using 1.8ohm kanger heads and sometimes the 2.5ohm kanger heads. However when I check the ohms its never 1.8 or 2.5 its either 2,8/9 or 1.9/2.0

Where can I find the Cotton Micro coil?

The liquids I am using are brownish, but they are not getting darker as I vape. i'll upload a pic here in a minute. But the flavor o my... Ill do anything to make this work.

(Banana crème Pie, Bananas Foster, Butterscotch is what I mostly use) hell sometimes I even mix them its like heaven for a short time lol then the burn. all of them 50/50 from MTBAKERVAPOR. Starting to branch off trying Jvapes (FYI Blueberry cake taste like raw blueberry muffin mix)

If your liquid is not darkening in the tank, my next question is - what volt or watt setting are you using?

7.0-7.5 Watts

And just to add, I do tend to Chain Vape... These flavors are so good! I am starting to lean towards a rebuildable as this seems to be the route to go.

so on that note. Where should I start. what supplies should I purchase to start? I am a total newb haha.

Have you tried staying around 6.5-7 to see if that stops the burning taste? If you run at the proper setting for the tank and juice and the juice is not gunking up your coils you shouldnt have burnt taste. On these coils a permanent burnt taste happens when you burn your wick. I use evod/pt/pt2 at 6.5-7 watts to get a good performance with no burnt taste involved. I use the same coils for sometimes 6-8 weeks. You may try taking down a notch or 2 on the settings with a new coil and see if the same result occurs.

As far as rebuilding - if you are interested in that and have a multimeter - try it out on your old PT coils :)

As far as trying new tanks maybe pick out a few to try and see what your favorite is. Maybe a good cartotank, a nautilus and a wild card! :)

Thank you for all your help! I have tried taking it down a notch, while the burnt taste is not there the vapor/flavor production is greatly reduced. Always in search of that "perfect vape"

I just checked into that nautilus it looks very nice think I am going to go ahead and grab one of those. Is the nautilus Rebuildable? looks like they use a similar replacement head/coil as the kangers do.

It is not a "rebuildable" like a kayfun, but the heads are possible to rebuild like the protank/evod heads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAmIJIUeEUg

As far as reviews, PBusardo is very subjective, I've seen him to negative reviews on many ocations.

As far as Kanger coils, I think they are great for what they are, but not without their down falls. I feel it's a must to remove the flavor wick for proper wicking and avoid dryburns. Running them dry or dryburning will scorsh the ruber insulator on the bottom of the coil head giving you a horrid burt taste that will never go away.

As far as rebuildable tanks, you can't go wrong with a Kayfun type tank, easy to learn on and give out an outstanding vape.
