Help on making a coffee

Ok so here it goes. I got Coffee (clear) from TFA. and I tried the soak coffee in pg in a hot batch for @ an hour. Both have a weird burnt taste and taste nothing like coffee. i have it in a 60%VG40%pg have tried both from 5% up to 20% cant seem to be getting any closer to a good coffee flavor. Please help

Try 3%. Burn may be because your using to much. Most coffees are very potent and require very little. Also if your adding sweetener or an overly sweet cream that can cause a burnt taste to. Also vaping on a high voltage can cause this so if you have a vb turn down the voltage. Also could be that you didn't let it steep a few days. Fresh mixes expecially TFA flavors need a few days to a week to mellow.

I've used this one at 3%, and that is pretty darned strongly flavored. I didn't note any burnt flavor at 3% though. I vaped it in a LR cartomizer on an eGo. I have used it at 1% as an addition to other flavors, to make fancy coffees. Not bad, but not my favorite coffee base.

(and nobody asked, but I'll say Flavour Art's Tiramisu at 3% is my favorite coffee-based flavor, Flavour Art's Coffee Espresso at 3-5% is an ideal espresso, and Nature's Flavor's organic Coffee at 10% is my favorite creamy coffee for mixing... I'm vaping my Tiramisu Cheesecake this very minute - LOVE coffee flavors!)

Have you tried TFA's "Coffee, clear"? I'm curious what you all think of it. I think it's a fine plain, black coffee at 2-3%, better than other plain coffee flavors I've tried, but I really don't like my coffee black. I gotta have my tasty sweets!

tfa caramel cap at 1 drop per 20mls is a very good vape

Ill play around with the clear but... someone gave me a link to a tread on making your own coffee extract. takes about 30 min and that is what im using. and with that in my frustration I came up with something I like 1% coffee. 10% caramel 60%VG/40%PG at 12nic.
right now first couple hits have a nice caramel coffee flavor and then the caramel mellows out and you taste more of the coffee. I am suspecting that will even out as it steeps a bit. and well being two hours old (i know it will have developed its color in under 15 second of mixing lol) it has a slight tan tent to it. be interesting to see if it gets any darker and how dark. but im guessing that it wont get too dark at all. I will see if i can find the post that was shown to me and re post it here. still looking for a great straight coffee.

I used that method Falcon13 and I'm still trying to get the correct ratio. I mixed 3% with 2% BC and 1% caramel and after 3 days all I could taste was the BC and the tiniest hint of caramel. I started adding drops to it and finally started getting coffee taste at >25%! I must have used a very weak coffee to make the extract or I'm using too much and it's muted. Dunno, I'll keep trying it though!

+1 on the Flavourart Coffee Espresso. Tastes like straight, black, dark roast coffee with a slight sweetness on the finish. I add bitter wizard if I'm keeping it just plain black. I use that coffee flavor at about half a percent in mixes, and even at that small of an amount, it can easily transform most flavors into a distinctly coffee flavored vape. It's definitely one of those start with "1%" kind of flavors. Best if steeped longer, but I wouldn't know. I don't have that kind of patience. US cleaner on the way, though.
