Help SOAPY taste on.....

My friend has the ebaron pro and just purchased already made wicks/ceramic cups from house of mods (ive never used ceramic cups). The new cup he just put in is giving him a soapy taste. I told that he should boil anything that he uses on his pro but im not sure if the soapy taste will go away

Has anyone had any issues w ceramic cups tasting soapy. Please advise on how to take care of the issue (articles or videos)

This used to be an issue with the first V1 Odysseus ceramics. Tie a piece of kanthal or something around it and dangle it over a torch for a bit.

My friend doesnt have a torch can he just do it over the stove. If he can how long does he need to do it for

Just fire it over the stove for a minute or so and it should be good to go.
