I think the important thing is if you really want to quit then forget finding a special quitting liquid and concentrate on not smoking. Try vaping after meals and first thing in the morning. Only vape when you would normally have a cig. I havnt had a smoke in 3 days now since vaping. If you really want to quit then you can.

I don't think it's that bad. While some may quit entirely in one go some do need to take it slower (i'm part of that group),when i quitted i still smoked my first morning coffee smoke for a couple days before emptying the last half pack i had then went vaping full time since i liked the liquid enough. 2nd month in haven't smoked for over 4 weeks now.

Your probably not going to like what I'm going to say, but in general, there is no magic bullet. Your still going to have to "just say no" and go through a few withdrawals. It's only difficult for a very short time, and then before you know it you don't want a cigarette anymore. It's getting through two weeks without even one that is the cincher. You do that by simply vaping through the cravings. Chain vape if you need to - I know I did.. lol.

You might try vaping some nets (naturally extracted tobacco e juice) to get through the times your finding it more difficult to go without your cigarette.

Naturally Extracted Tobacco : Heather’s Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids has some good net tobacco juices, also www.Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco.com, e-liquids for electronic cigarettes has them as well. You could try those to get through the desperate times. (Heathers has a faster ship time than the other site.. but you want to let either steep for two weeks prior to vaping, as it's all mix to order).

Ohh i totally agree QcVaper, i am just the kind of person who would lapse if i don't stick to a plan. The more i vape the less i want to smoke, but i am still itchy as ever for a smoke so if i were to have one i know i would only be back where i was 3 days ago.
No problems! Like i tried to say not everyone quits at the same rate or the same way i did it that way and i had temptation everywhere [edited]. I'll tell you this though, after about a week or two i had the urges too so i tried one curious to see what happens. Next thing i knew i almost got sick from a single puff. I vaped hardcore for those 2 weeks and already thought that the smell and taste was atrocious. Not everyone reacts like i do so results will always vary by person.

That's why I said two weeks is the clincher. After two weeks of vaping nice flavors, the taste and smell of a cigarette is so gross you never want to go back.. lol..

I did the same thing you did, after two weeks of vaping I caved and lit up a cigarette, never finished it.. lol.

The nic salts are a good idea. Also having a high nic, low wattage device to give you that quick nic delivery that mimics the cigs. As long as you keep buying cigs you will keep smoking them. That's just a fact. You need to wake up one morning and not have that option to choose. Trust me you will get the nic you need. It's the habit that you need to break.
Having two tanks might work. Find a juice that you like with your coffee in the morning (maybe a dessert flavor Idk) and diff. juice for the rest of the day. It's all about changing your routine.

1) make vaping more convenient than smoking
  1. leave your smokes somewhere annoying
  2. set rules for yourself about where you are allowed to smoke
  3. tell everyone that you are quitting so you feel obliged to hide it
2) make vaping less expensive than smoking
  1. get a simple inexpensive device that mimics a cigarette
  2. buy juice in large-ish quantities from a decent vendor
  3. buy accessories in bulk to get the best prices
3) make vaping give you the positive aspects of smoking without giving you the negatives
  1. find a set up that tastes good to you
  2. find a set up that feels good in your hand
  3. find a set up that gives you a cigarette mouth-feel
4) ) make a game of seeing how long you can go without a cigarette and pay attention to what happens when you smoke
  1. start with X number of hours, then a day, then two days, and so on
  2. take the time to experience the horrible taste and smell when you do smoke, don't just gun one down
  3. take the time to pay attention to what your body is telling you when you smoke, notice the stomach ache and the heartburn, the sore throat and the burning sensation in your nose
5) buy crappy cigarettes that you know will not be satisfying
  1. you'll smoke them anyway regardless of how bad they are
  2. get the lightest you can find because they'll still taste/smell/make you feel horrible
  3. they're cheaper anyway, but they're still too expensive to keep buying
Other than that, Mister E Liquid has some great tobacco flavors. They aren't the cheapest available but they aren't horribly expensive either. I really like their Roughneck to mimic a cig, their HFC to mimic a pipe, and their RY4 for a bit of smoothness and flavor.

Smoked camel filters 1.5+ PAD for 48 years (Camel Blue 99 last decade or so). Smoked my last cigarette June 16th 2pm just before walking into a local vape shop on a mission. Started with a Smok Stick V8 and Western NIC Turkish Blend 6mg. 5 days later dropped to 4.5mg then another 5 days 3mg. 23 days off cigs still at 3mg.

I think the biggest factor in going to vape and total cold turkey cigs was desire, 2nd was a decent starter kit and tied for 2nd a good tasting and smelling tobacco vape.

Currently using three Vape Wild tobacco juices mixed: 1/3 Constantinople - 1/3 RY4 - 1/3 Tabacco Vanilla. My all day vape. Also using 1/2 & 1/2 Constantinople - RY4 for just a small touch of sweet with the tobacco, I don't want to chain vape it as much lol!

I agree completely. For me, I didn't push it. I knew from experience that I'd sabotage myself if I tried too hard. I dual-used for a few weeks while I learned about and came to enjoy vaping with no pressure. My cigarette usage dropped, and I eventually came to the end of a pack and decided to see how things would go if I didn't buy another right away. They went fine, and I never did buy the next pack.

For other people, that wouldn't work at all. Some people dual use for years. They need to make a firm decision and stick to it.

It's all about what works for you. I think the key is not to give up if you slip up. Try again - same tactics or new tactic, whatever seems best.

Good luck!

I like vaping and I’d like to quit smoking.
I smoke Camel Blues but have cut down quite a bit.
But I still like a cig when I first get up and after meals.
Any ideas or good liquids to help me stop ?
One day, for some strong reason, you'll want to finally stop smoking. If you happen to be a confirmed vaper when that happens there's a much better chance of success. Then the pressure is low because you know the worst that can happen is relapsing back to just a few cigs a day. It took six weeks for that day to come for me. A brother of mine waited 10 months.

Something that's helped me is just vaping like crazy when the urge hits. I'm just like you, man. Early morning, after meals and after... well... you know... :thumb:

After a period of time chain vaping and occupying my mind with work, kids, the dog, charging batteries, washing tanks... I forget that I wanted to burn one.

I had to quit drinking, too. I'm 17 months sober as of Tuesday.

Taste is very subjective. You probably won't like what I like, I don't like what my wife likes. I never found a liquid that tasted like a cigarette and I probably tried 50 or more from several vendors during my "Great Tobacco Hunt of 2012". I never found a liquid to duplicate smoking. I did find liquids that I could use to replace smoking. After a couple of months, after my senses of taste and smell came back, I found that I liked my new liquids better than smoking.

On my 3rd day I decided to forego my morning cigarette and vape thru the craving. I too about 45 minutes to get enough nicotine but I learned I could do it.
