I don't know that there's the "perfect setup" to be recommended for quitting, everyone's different and unless you are supremely lucky, you aren't going to find the exact right e-cig, juice, etc, without some experimentation. I'd start small with a pen style device (not a Big Tobacco Cigalike). If you want to try NET juice, or even some WTA juice (Whole tobacco alkaloid juice) to start, that would be fine, but it's really cheaper to start out with good old plain jane nicotine before anything else, to see how you do. If you have a Brick and Mortar near you, I'd go look at some demonstration models to see what appeals to your eye (specificially tell them you are looking for a small, pen type starter though, or you'll walk out with half a jet engine, not so useful) and take a look at juice options. You can try some juices for free or inexpensively at many stores to get a sense of what you like, and there's nothing wrong with buying a few say 15 ml juices from a B&M, if you like the taste. That said, I needed WTA alkaloids for a bit to stop myself from going insane, but you will pay a premium for that. If you want a small, MTL (mouth to lung tank) I am in love with the Nautilus 2, it's very versatile and has many coil styles. You can put that on most adjustable wattage sticks, unless you want something that matches, you might want to look at the ego line, they're pretty inexpensive and get good reviews. Start by vaping when you want a cigarette, if you still want one, you can smoke one, or smoke part of one, just KEEP VAPING. Over time (if you keep vaping) you will eventually find yourself reducing cigs (hopefully) and that time frame is different for everyone. For me, it took about a week (this time) but I was very motivated, unlike times in the past where my goal was to use my ecig when I couldn't smoke, for example.
Nic salts are also a good option to start, you can find some at Nicotine River, but I'm not sure, I got distracted by a new alert taking a peek. Sigh. You may need to look elsewhere for Nic Salt juices, but again, trying with regular e-juice may be best, first, even if you order some. BTW, I just got allerted on a delivery sales ban on nicotine products for AZ that is a felony, so I stopped searching, LOL. Check your state laws, I guess...
Just start small, and *anyone* can quit. After reading Opinionated's story, which she was kind enough to post for me, ANYONE can quit, if willing to go through a certain amount of discomfort to the good part that's ahead.
Sheesh. I'm sorry. I'm all antsy and distracted now, but you can do it! Best of luck.
