I like vaping and I’d like to quit smoking.
I smoke Camel Blues but have cut down quite a bit.
But I still like a cig when I first get up and after meals.
Any ideas or good liquids to help me stop ?

Welcome to the forum!

Everyone's path from smoking to vaping is different, so I can only tell you what worked for me. When I started vaping, I used 12 mg. nicotine juice, which wasn't enough nicotine for me, so I vaped mostly, and loved vaping, but still smoked 2 - 5 cigarettes a day for a few months. I talked to someone in a vape shop one day who told me I should increase my nicotine, so I went to 16 mg. nicotine, and then up again to 18 mg. nicotine juice. Once I was vaping 18 mg. juice, I didn't want cigarettes any longer and went to vaping 100% with no withdrawal symptoms or misery at all. I always recommend to people to keep smoking as needed until you find the nicotine level that works for you, and the right mod and tank for you as well.

Hope your journey is as easy as mine was. If you have questions, please, ask away. There are plenty of people here who want to help!

Good luck!

Is Vaping Helpful Like for all? like for my wife..!!!

I'm not sure I understand your comment here, but if your asking if vaping would help your wife quit smoking then yes, it very much can.

I quit a 32 year two pack a day smoking habit with the help of vaping. I've been vaping three years now. I credit vaping for saving the quality of my life. :)

Vaping can help anyone to quit smoking, and there are many women who vape, as well as men!

It sounds like you're making progress. As others have said, if you want to accelerate this there's no substitute for willpower. If that's not forthcoming I don't think it has to be a problem, it's just going to take longer, and therefore one has to Believe longer, not get discouraged.

Even if someone only cuts down to half the smokes, eventually that has an effect that makes further progress easier -- however even that can be too difficult without vaping, in fact due to the lengths of time involved, those capable of "cutting down" are usually capable of cold turkey as well.

Nic Salts are less disturbing to the body, and can be a help to those not getting enough nicotine. I don't think that was a problem for me. Whole Tobacco Alkaloids (WTAs) are what makes whole tobacco so addictive for some, as opposed to pure nicotine. These are available in some ejuices (for now) but are expensive and continue the addiction. If this is a factor for you, the advantage is it helps not smoke. The disadvantage is you don't get to smoke (a little) to get your WTAs. Another possibility is to use smokeless tobacco, but again, if you're near enough near the end etc.

I don't know that there's the "perfect setup" to be recommended for quitting, everyone's different and unless you are supremely lucky, you aren't going to find the exact right e-cig, juice, etc, without some experimentation. I'd start small with a pen style device (not a Big Tobacco Cigalike). If you want to try NET juice, or even some WTA juice (Whole tobacco alkaloid juice) to start, that would be fine, but it's really cheaper to start out with good old plain jane nicotine before anything else, to see how you do. If you have a Brick and Mortar near you, I'd go look at some demonstration models to see what appeals to your eye (specificially tell them you are looking for a small, pen type starter though, or you'll walk out with half a jet engine, not so useful) and take a look at juice options. You can try some juices for free or inexpensively at many stores to get a sense of what you like, and there's nothing wrong with buying a few say 15 ml juices from a B&M, if you like the taste. That said, I needed WTA alkaloids for a bit to stop myself from going insane, but you will pay a premium for that. If you want a small, MTL (mouth to lung tank) I am in love with the Nautilus 2, it's very versatile and has many coil styles. You can put that on most adjustable wattage sticks, unless you want something that matches, you might want to look at the ego line, they're pretty inexpensive and get good reviews. Start by vaping when you want a cigarette, if you still want one, you can smoke one, or smoke part of one, just KEEP VAPING. Over time (if you keep vaping) you will eventually find yourself reducing cigs (hopefully) and that time frame is different for everyone. For me, it took about a week (this time) but I was very motivated, unlike times in the past where my goal was to use my ecig when I couldn't smoke, for example.

Nic salts are also a good option to start, you can find some at Nicotine River, but I'm not sure, I got distracted by a new alert taking a peek. Sigh. You may need to look elsewhere for Nic Salt juices, but again, trying with regular e-juice may be best, first, even if you order some. BTW, I just got allerted on a delivery sales ban on nicotine products for AZ that is a felony, so I stopped searching, LOL. Check your state laws, I guess...

Just start small, and *anyone* can quit. After reading Opinionated's story, which she was kind enough to post for me, ANYONE can quit, if willing to go through a certain amount of discomfort to the good part that's ahead.

Sheesh. I'm sorry. I'm all antsy and distracted now, but you can do it! Best of luck.

Just like me but I still drink
I stopped drinking first(as of May 2008) went cold turkey into vaping and threw away my pack of nails same day. Told myself "this is all you have now!" 2 years 7 months ago. Feels like 7 years[emoji106]

The JUUL helped me kick the analogs. 50mg a ml nicotine salts... The pods arent cheap but it provided the nicotine buzz I desired.

I'm recent to this as well and slowly kicking the cigarettes out. Just yesterday I found that I didn't have any cigarettes without thinking about it.
For me the biggest obstacle was finding flavours I like then getting the right nicotine amount. 18 mg was perfect for an MTL device, but it would cause stomach disturbances if I vaped too much. 8 mg was not enough and I kept feeling like smoking.
This is all based on my personal experience, but for me 12 mg in an MTL device is the perfect amount for most of the time, but I keep a 2nd unit with 18 mg of nicotine for the times when I need a little extra kick.
The other thing I noticed with vaping vs. smoking is the nicotine seems to stay in your system longer when vaping and enters more slowly... so sometimes I might only need 5 pulls to get the nic craving out, whereas my morning session, I can vape for a much longer period of time.
The other thing I noticed is when I have a cigarette now, I don't particularly like the nicotine buzz as much as the one you get with vaping. When I smoke a ciggie, I feel it in my chest, head and throat right away, and then the discomfort will subside in 10 minutes... whereas when I vape, it's more like a subtle buzz without any of the discomfort.

As well, keep in mind I did the hybrid smoking thing for a while... and slowly substituted a cigarette with a vaping session.

Now I'm at the point where I rarely crave a cigarette, but keep them around, just so I don't feel like I'm forcing myself into anything.

This works for me... but everyone is different.

    Best of luck.
    M.
