Hi there!

I started vaping about 4 years ago, settled in with a stick battery I liked (EgoC Twist or Vision Spinner) and Vision mini vivi nova clearomizer tanks. They kept me happy on a lanyard around my neck for a long time.

It's getting really hard to find good ones anymore. Even from reputable suppliers, I just don't think the manufacturers care about them these days. Or maybe they've been siting in storage for years ... I don't know. I just know for every 5 batteries I buy, one is "okay." Same with tanks.

So time for a new set up, right?

When I start browsing for where to go ... it's all so complicated!!

Calculators for gauge wires, understanding the ohm stuff, rebuilding ... I don't want this to be my hobby, I just want to vape. Easy and satisfying.

So can someone please point me in the direction of a good but simple new setup?

Thanks in advance!

I often recommend an iStick 30 watt or Coolfire 4 (both mods) with an Aspire Mini Nautillus or eLeaf GS Air M (both tanks). Videos below.

Innokin Coolfire 4
Aspire Nautilus Mini
eLeaf GS Air M Tank

I hear you.

I am using Ego Twist/Vision Spinners as well.
They last me a long time.

But recently I was coming to the end of the life cycle of my last purchases.
So I went to Heaven Gifts to buy some new ones.

I figured if I bought from USA vendors they would be old and nearly dead.
So I thought if I bought them from Heaven Gifts they would be better and newer.

Alas, one of the two Twists I received is non-functional.
So I am in the same boat as you.

What I wish is that cloud blowing would disappear.
And we could get back to what this was originally all about.

Quitting smoking.

EDITED TO ADD:
And yes, I have an iStick 20watt.
It is too fat to fit well in my pocket, so I only use it in emergencies.

Maybe look at the Innokin iTaste VV Ver4, comes in 2 mAh ratings, digital adjusting for variable voltage or wattage. Square battery but the 2 iTaste VV Ver3's I have are still running, the Ver 4 just has more power output than the VV Ver3. Tanks you could look at a Kanger Aerotank Mini or Protank Mini Ver2, the Anyvape Davide Mini quite similar to the Protank Mini, can run either Kanger Protank coil heads or Aspire BDC/BVC heads in them.

(Authentic) ISTICK 30W + (Authentic) Mini Nautilus= new set up for more or less 50$ at FT!

AND FT has cheap black lanyards for 2-3$ for the istick 30 .(buy the 3 pack, they only last a few months)

= this set up worked for me for a loooong time, like you I had it around my neck and puffed away all day ;)
cheap easy no hassle and itll even be an upgrade from the spinner setups you were used to!

I'll say this, the fail rate has come down drastically. I remember bringing home a couple of egos and a week later I was shopping for more since I knew it was only a matter of time.

For 30-40 dollars these days you can get a fairly well build regulated mod that'll last you at least 6 months to several years if you take care of it, that's a drastic improvement. I do miss the lanyards, but I have a feeling if I used one today that DNA200 on my neck would leave me with severe neck injuries. :)

Maybe something like this? Replaceable batteries so it's not a brick when the battery is toast.
Sigelei ZMAX V3 Telescopic Variable Mod
I see someone beat me to this recommendation. Only blue left but it's a beautiful metallic blue finish. I bought one blue and one green a few weeks ago from the same sight. Both solid'old school' devices. If SS is more appealing maybe this would work for you.
ZMAX V3 $19.99
Very comfortable in a shirt pocket with an 18350 battery and Evod tank.
They're really not as large as they might look on the web site. Check my avatar. Blue is 18350 mode green is 18650. Both fit the hand nicely.

Can't beat the price on that one. How do you like yours? Just ordered one myself. Not a lot of choices for those of us who like above sub-ohming with finding a good mod with external batteries.
