Hey everyone,

Me and my girlfriend both just got a REO VV like a month ago. I am long time vaper. She has just started vaping month ago.

I have been using the REO Grande for the past year as my main/only device. Works great with LR cartomizer and 3.7 or 4.8 volt battery.

ok, so I have been let down by the REO VV that we both just got. The vapor production, throat hit, and flavor have all been a let down to me on the VV no matter which voltage we try :(.

However, we have so far only tried a 2.0 ohm cartomizers on the VV. Now, I have the RM2 re-usable atomizer on the way from Rob. Should arrive tomorrow. Im excited as it seems, from the forums, this should solve all the issues I'm currently having with my REO- VV.

However, I don't think my girlfriend will be making her atomizers no matter how great it vapes so whats a good suggestion on atomizer or cartomizer to try on the VV. I know its completely personal thing and she is gonna have to try a few to see what she likes.

In terms of atomizers, she hasn't tried a 510 or 306 on the VV. So, I've been away from the vaping community for awhile. Is there a specific brand or Ohm 510 or 306 she should get? or just order regular 510, and 306 with a drip tip? Ill also have her try a 2.5 ohm cartomizer I guess. So far, like I mentioned, the 2.0 ohm cartomizer which for some reason works great on my REO-Grande has been a let down on the REO-VV.

I hope I wasn't too long winded- looking for a good website and/or type of atomizer to try on the REO-VV other than the RM2

thanks

If she wants to stick strictly to atomizers then Empire Mods carries a popular bottom feed 1.5 ohm atty.

Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 XL 1.5ohm (34mm)

If you don't mind spending a little more money the HH.357 is considered top notch as well.

HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid 510 Atomizer - Avid Vaper

Alternatively (and this is what I would do) you could buy an RM2 for your girlfriend and coil it for her. A good micro-coil will last weeks and if using cotton as a wick it's very easy to re-wick. If you use silica then she wouldn't even need to do that.

I have an eerie feeling I know where your problem lies - what battery are you using in the VV Grand?

Edit: Oops, Saved too early =)

Your report sounds similar to one we had in the German forums - some poor guy used 18650 batteries in the VVG and reported poor performance, which is no wonder because he vaped at around 2Volts.

The VVG uses 2x18350, as you surely know?

Thanks for everyone's input !! Thanks, Crash for the detail

Yeah I don't know why that I can't get it to vape at worst like my Grande - I would think they would be almost same - only thing I can think of is the tubing that feeds the juice, on my grande I pulled it off completely from it's connector on the device - this made refilling so much easier as I pulled the whole thing off when the bottle was empty and then held it on a table, refilled, then put the 6ml back into the mod and the tubing fit back in fine - on that thing I never ever flooded a cartomizer . On the VV I just got last month I left the tubing in place as it came - I have either burnt or flooded so many cartridges - has been a huge leaning curve to get the right amount of juice in there maybe because of new bottle, size of tubing, or cause of what i mentioned above in how they are connected. That's the only thing I can think of

Well I hope this RM2 is as good as people say - that will be awesome ! The reliability and durability of reo products are amazing ! But flavor always seemed weak n vapor production weak - but the fact that it worked every single time beautifully I have stayed with them loyally :) and recommended them -

And yes we do have the right batteries for them but thx for suggestion

Thx again for the comments -

Happy vaping

Make sure that the tube isn't touching the bottom of the bottle, and also check to make sure the o-ring in the bottle cap is seated properly - both of these can cause feeding problems. The RM2 is outstanding on either a regular or VV Grand. Prior to getting into rebuildables, I used the super-shorty 1.7 cartomizers - they were great as they didn't require any pre-filling, just squonk a couple times and you're good to go.
