Desire ecig has a 4nine that's $13. I wonder if it's bogus though because the button and top cap are brass. I've been tempted to throw it on top of an order because it's so cheap. Seems correctly sized.

There's a Vapetech version with a brass button, but I haven't seen one with the extra spacer, or know why that one would come with the extra spacer.

The branding names (Infinite, Vapetech, Ijoye) are just so we can reference the different versions anyway. Just go on alibaba and search 4nine, you'll see how many different brand names are on the same 4 to 5 clones made.

What is the actual 1:1 version? And, theoretically the best?
The Vapetech version is 49mm tall in 18350 mode, closest to 1:1 you can get. At FastTech they're the less expensive models which don't have 1:1 in their description.

Btw: Why is the all copper female and the stainless steel with brass switch and top male? Does the all brass or black versions get names or is that just inventions of the clone manufacturers?

I've rally been loving my 4nine clone. I purchased the copper one from 88evape, which is more expensive than the prices from fasttech and focalcig. But shipping was 3 days for me, so I was quite happy. I agree with everyone's comments on the 4nine being a mod for more experienced mech mod users. But even if you are new to mech mods, follow the instructions that have been provided here and use the right atty, the 4nine is an awesome mod. I pair my 4nine with a Trident v2 clone. The reason it works is because the 519 connection is an adjustable copper screw. The combination, built dual micro coils to 0.4 ohms hits wonderfully! I've also used my Magma And Omega clone on the mod, both of which work really well. Even with the non-adjustable 510 connection, the 4nine fires them both perfectly.

Nikkita6's write up on the 4nine clone is spot on. The only thing that I've done differently, is I cut the bottom out of one of my 15ml ejuice bottles and used it to cover the switch when I pocket it. It fits snug and needs a good deal of pressure before it fails and fires the switch. I might even look for a washer that's the size of a nickel and glue it to the bottom, ensuring it will never fire when the cap is on. I know people carry the 4nine all the time with no problems, but for me, I have a lot of stuff in my pockets that I carry everyday. So, the cover gives me peace of mind knowing that it won't fire in my pocket if it bumps into my other stuff.

Sorry BostonVape, I'll have to post that pic for you in about a week. I actually sent my Trident v2 clone back to 88evape for a replacement. One of the nuts had a bad first thread and it wasn't catching on the post when screwing down my coil. I looked at it when a magnify glass and it seems the machining was off when they cut that nut. But hopefully, I'll have a new one back by this time next week and I'll post a pic.

All of the Focalecig listings are the Vapetech version. None are lacquered that I've seen, but the manufacturer will supply polished or brushed finishes (what you're mentioning as dull). Focalecig even has one with a painted black finish now.

Focalecig is selling a clear coated copper version, and a non clear coated copper version of the 4nine.

As far as the SS version is concerned Focalecig currently wants $8.36 more than Fasttech for the same item.
$21.97 4Nine Style Mechanical Mod (other) - Silver
$15.58 4Nine Style Mechanical Mod - 18350 / 18490 / 18500 / 18650 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Focal's prices are often a little higher than FT's (sometimes the same) because they are a smaller company, buying much smaller quanities, and therefore paying higher wholesales prices. Focalecig uses several different suppliers, and so they get better wholesale pricing on some, and not so much from others, all of which is reflected in the how much they charge per item.

They've got to make up from the group buy they did on that model when they sold them for $13.

True .. FC often hosts these Group Buys at a loss to them, but they do it anyway because it is good for business in the long term.

The true female 4nine is brass with stainless steel top cap, and switch with a female Maki on the switch, different from the male ... all of the "females" presently available as clones are not really females at all.

Ijoye supposedly makes a true female 4nine, that FC tried to get but Ijoye will not sell to domestic markets, which is so messed up when you think about it.

Focalecig is owned by wallbuys.com, so calling them a smaller company than fasttech, well...they're no mom and pops operation, that's for sure, and almost 55% markup, that's more than a little higher for this item, but I get your point.

Most of the things Artemis sells have just for him changes. For example the black edition Kayfun he sells has a raised center air channel that sticks out of the positive block to help reduce leaking. Bigger air flow holes, etc. Don't know if he's gotten modifications for the 4nine he's selling. So they could be identical to the FastTech or focalecig offerings but will arrive much quicker. Then its just a matter of deciding if its worth $10 to get it 2 weeks or so faster.

I just ordered this 4nine version with kayfun combo.

Bit more $ but Artemus usually has good quality items.

4Nine Mechanical Mod Plus Kayfun V3 "in Copper" combo - Custom Mod Creation
the extensions look like a different finish from 18350 body on copper. I'd love a black.. my favorite mod. I haven't gotten a clone yet..

post pictures of it in 18650 when you get it if possible, please. The button looks like it's copper clad brass, like authentic, in these pictures.

Is he the original Black Edition Seller on Ebay? If so okay. If not then he did not get those customized changes done. Also, they are the same in the Tobaco Silver editions.
Yes he carries nice quality gear.

Yes, he was originally an eBay only seller of just his black edition Kayfun. He sold enough to enable him to spread out to other mods and atomizers. And an e-commerce site of his own.

I personally think his KF's are the best clones available... I don't think theres much difference on the v2 to v3 but still pumped to try it out regardless.

He's got a 10% sale right now too.. and nano KF kits will be shipped in a couple weeks (ordered 2)
