There are two basic types of cartotanks. These use a cartomizer with holes in it that allow juice from the tank to enter the cartomizer which has the heating coil(s) and polyfill material which wicks and holds the juice until it is vaporized.
Some of these cartotanks use silicone grommets in place of the more expensive end caps. Many of these tanks are somewhat difficult to deal with because the grommets fit so tight on the carto to prevent juice leakage, therefore it is hard to assemble the tank and fill/refill with juice. Not normally a fan of these, but some work well like my frog pyrex tank.

Then there are the higher quality tanks that have endcaps on each end. These are easily assembled and easy to fill/refill. The better tanks use pyrex glass. The metal endcaps make them more expensive than the grommet tanks, because of the human labor involved in milling the steel, aluminum, or chrome.

Another type of cartotank is like the so-called "Lava Tanks". These have a particular shape and style. The large mouthpiece and top cap are one piece, and twist off of the tube for easy juice filling.

At this point of my vaping experience, cartotanks give me the best flavor. But that is more the function of the cartomizer than the actual tank. The tank is just a juice reservoir. The actual carto is what is responsible for making the vapor...and the flavor.
ok but witch will deliver the best taste I would just hate to lose the taste and get discouraged on all this
