So I ordered some 18mg juice and I noticed that it tasted kinda peppery. Odd, I know but I read online that higher mg juices can do that. I accidentally made the mistake of 18 instead of 12, and I'm down to this as my last bottle. So here comes my question.

Will letting it breathe for a couple of hours help? Since it's my last bottle and I'm awaiting some new ones, this is pretty much what I have left lol. It's a Blueberry vanilla flavor if that helps. And I've steeped it for about a month now. The taste is great besides that.

Hmm, so a peppery after taste could be from the nic, huh!? I wouldn't have thought that. Would you say "cheaper" nic has this profile more so than the "expensive" variety?

Yes, nicotine is well known to have a peppery taste, and this is more pronounced with the less expensive products.

The general opinions seem to favor Vapers Tek premium (presently not in stock, they also sell a lesser-grade "throat-hit" nicotine) as having some of the cleanest nic around, with respect also noted towards Wizard Labs and NudeNicotine vendors.

Many people perceive nicotine as peppery. Different retailers source their nicotine from different places. It could be US, or EU, or UK, or China, or even India. All the nicotine manufacturers have slightly different extraction/distillation processes that can affect final taste and so one manufacturer's nicotine solution may taste more or less peppery than another.

You might want to take a look at eliquids offered from say, DIYFlavorshack, MyFreedomSmokes, HighDesertVapes, NicVape, TotallyWicked (UK-sourced), Vaperstek (UK-sourced) and VapingZone (US-sourced). These folks mostly source from different manufacturers and I've heard very good things about the taste (or lack of taste) of nicotine in their eliquids.

Of course, this is not a complete list by any means, as I've only included the ones that actually sell pre-mixed e-liquids (which, in my opinion is the best way to taste different nicotines, since mixed is how you're going to vape it anyway) but it should get you started.

Hope this helps!

Not sure about the grade however while most people here recognize Nicoticket as premium, even their website claims their juice can be peppery with high nic. They recommend using the lowest amount you can vape comfortably.

yes for sure not sure if its the process they use to extract the nic or purity of the nic or just the tobacco or other plant they use to get the nic from i believe there was one company getting some nic from eggplant and a few other plants and adding it to there undiluted nic blocks, not sure if something like that would effect flavor tho.
