Help with iatty problem

Hi i hope someone can help me i sold an Iatty on ecf a few weeks back with a ggts base and the new knurled base the person has come back saying the centre pin is too short have i sent the wrong one to him.
now can anyone tell me if there is a length difference between the new base pin and the old base pin i really need this info as the person is trying to sell me back the knurled base fo $50 that i dont want or need.

the first pin that Iatty used was 0,5mm shorter than the new one bubb. The new one was 0,5 longer because the base was 0,5mm longer too. The guy that you sold the Iatty simply needs a longer pin. I have a pin like this. In 10 days or less I will send to Bruce wick, ready wires, GGTB tubes, ceramics of all kinds and I will send him a pin for this Iatty too.

Thank you imeo will I need to send him the money for him to purchase this pin or should he contact Bruce if I could get a price for the pin he is in the US so maybe I should contact Bruce for a total for the guy.

I didn't know that, I bought a new 510 (knurled) base some time ago and when installing it I noticed that, as I have a new plastic bottom spare, I decided to sand a little the old one (on the top of it) to allow the center pin to make proper contact

Imeo, could you please send another iAtty new 510 knurled base pin to Bruce for me?

I'll get the new center pin from COV when it become available (I do not like to mod my GGs, I think I'm a little obsessive compulsive )

I have a question.I got an iAtty today with the new knurled base and an GGTS base. The tube I am able to srew down over the oring on the GGTS base , but I have no GGTS only a stealth.
so I want to use the knurled base ...but I can only srew it to the O-ring. It goes not over the O-ring.....am I doing anything wrong ?There is a space from 1mm

I don't know where the problem is because the pin on the iatty sticks out the new base quite a lot. I have tried it on all GGTS's I have and it works just fine.

the problem ist the space between the tube and the O-ring with the knurled base look at the picture
this is not with the GGTS base . there the Tube goes over the o-ring ????

Ok I was under the impression he was talking about the GGTS base for the iatty

Totally remove the o-ring herb. It will still not leak

I tryed out Imeo but the problem is the same.....I am wondering when I screw my top cap on the knurled base it fits perfect . on the GGTS base the tube fits perfect but with the tube on the knurled base there is 1mm .
But the windings in the tube are all ok..otherwise the tube won´t fit on the GGTS base...hhhmmmm

Maybe its a small metal part that prevents the right threading herby. I suggest you to screw-unscrew several times the parts that dont fit well and see if they will finally fit
