Help with Kayfun 5 flavor

Hi All,

I'm looking for help with my new kayfun 5. I own several kayfun lights and so far they are giving better flavor than the KF5. I bought the reducer set so the draw on 1 pip with the smallest reducer mimics the KFL in air flow. Running 28ga ~1 ohm at 10-12 watts normally on a KFL.

Same juice and same build on the KFL is giving me better flavor.
Anybody else experience this? Did you solve it somehow?

How many open turns on the JFC? I had to go 3 turns with max vg/slightly diluted to get flavor, even though they say 2 is all the way open. I have a Tobeco clone but I've read the same for the authentic.

I'm on 50/50 juice, the 2 turns completely opens the juice channels. I can take pull after pull and never get a dry hit. So i don't feel its juice flow, but thank you for the suggestion.

Gonna try an old KFL drip tip. Much smaller opening, see if that helps.

the tank is so tall. in my opinion that's why the flavor is less than that of a shorter tank. shorter the chimney, smaller the chamber, better the flavor

Yeah Nel, and the chimney is wider. I tried a higher lift on the coil to raise it up. That and the old KFL drip tip helped. Still not as flavorful though. With the larger chimney and larger air flow, you've just gotta push the power to get more vapor to bring the vapor density up. Your juice just needs to be able to handle that in terms of heat flux to get the same flavor.
