Hello all,
Well this is my first official post with a question about what I bought. I recently went to a new local vape shop and got a lot of help from the guy who answered all my questions. I ended up buying something and wasn't really expecting to. Was just looking. This is technically my first real e-cig. Sorry for the confusion in terminology, I'm working on it :)

Anyway, the picture shows what I bought. Here is what I think it is. (sorry for the glare. I just couldn't get one without it)
Joye eGo-C Twist VV 650mAh Battery
Kanger T3 eGo Bottom Coil Clearomizer 2.4 ml
View attachment 252560

Does that sound correct? If it is, I'd like to know what the opinions are on this. Is it bad, good or good for beginners? I actually like it a lot, but don't have much to compare it to except a Chinese knock-off from a local smoke store. (Lava)

Here come the questions:
The guy at the store said I could clean the tank? clearomizer? (I'm not sure what it's called) with hot water and reuse it. Is that possible? I know I want to get extra's, what am I looking for? I know that it's a Kanger T3 and I think they come in different sizes. Would it be better to get a few smaller sizes to try out different juices? On to the wick. If I can clean the tank, should/can the wick be cleaned too? How do I choose what Ohm wick I would need for a replacement? I don't know what was put on it in the store. Is it also a kanger? I just don't know how to choose replacements.

Well, that's it for now. I still have a ton of questions, but I just better slow down :)

I bought my first juice from the same store. It was a Halo Prime 12mg. It's good, but is too sweet for an all day vape. Tastes a lot like hot chocolate. I'm ready to try more!!

Thanks in advance for the help!!
Dana

Most clearomizer tanks come with a coil above 2 ohms from the factory. A new, unregulated battery puts out about 4.2 volts when fully charged. To start experimenting , I would recommend about 3.6 volts and slowly increase until you experience some harshness, which indicated some burning. A common mistake for new vapors is using to high a voltage while chasing the theb'clouds of vapor' image.

Thank you so much for the quick replies.
BigBen2k - The picture is hard to see, but it is a T3S. I thought the S just meant it was silver. So, when looking for coils (not wicks lol), I am looking for Kanger T3S coils specifically?
Txaggiesaunt - That was my next plan. More batteries and I loved that PCC that charges on the go. WHEW, lots to look at, but I'm excited. Too excited for the people around me right now lol. BTW, LOVE the yorkies, have 2 myself !!
Do either of you have a favorite online store you shop from? I know there are threads on this subject. Was just curious.
Thanks again!!

If its a clone then its not made by Joytech (whom make the eGo batteries) but I wouldn't worry about it.

I have both a 650 & 1000 mah Joytech eGo C twist battery and they work flawlessly. Even though I have a bunch of mods I use the eGo's more than anything due to their size when I'm away from home.

The T3s clearo is a good one but I prefer Kanger Protanks over their T3s. Better flavor, better vape, less leaking...

I prefer the iClear tanks over protanks. Zero leaking, better flavor, lasts longer, great vape.

I should add that I own around 5 T3s and 3 protanks as well as 2 iClear 30's and a handful of other tanks; geno, etc, etc...

I can't remember the last time I used a T3 and I used to love those until I tried others...

Dana, you DO sound excited and I'll bet a lot of us are also excited for ya! Congrats on a whole new world.

You definitely got a good starter set up. The Ego Twist is a preferred small/starter/backup device used by many vapers. The Kanger Clearo is also extremely popular.

I would agree with the poster that you need more batteries than just the one. And an additional tank. As far as vliquids go, that's a whole other ball of wax. You will most likely try many many many over time and sometimes find that what you like now, you may or may not like in the futurer, and vice versa. It's all part of a huge process as your body, mind, taste buds, interests change. Just keep tasting and vaping and enjoying! :)

As far as tasting vliquids, you might (eventually) want to try an atomizer. It's the heating element (coil) that vaporizes the liquid. It doesn't hold more than a few drops and once vaped, you can change to another flavor. Of course, your tanks can be cleaned and you can put a new flavor in them as well.

Your coil heads are most likely a midrange ohm. With a Twist, because it can vary the voltage (cooler to warmer), your coils should be absolutely fine. If they are at a mid point, you can turn that little Twist up higher for more heat, or lower if it's too hot. Check with your store. :)

Keep reading, keep watching videos, keep asking questions! :D

Could I ask another question. If the title of something is this: eGo Twist 1100mAh (Clone) T3S Clearomizer Basic Kit. Should I be worried about the (Clone) part? It's a vendor that has been mentioned on the forums here. I just wondered if that's something to worry about.

Snicks, so are you saying that if it's a clone it's still ok?

I also think you are saying all those tanks and clearo's are compatible with the ego twist batteries?

I happen to like genuine Joyetech Twists. I can say yes, get a Joye, and 20 people will agree. 20 others will also say it doesn't matter. That's a tough question. :)

Thanks everyone so, so much. There is SO much to learn. I have pretty much all my questions answered for now. The others, I haven't asked yet lol. Now at least I know what to look for.
Katdarling - I will look into atomizers to try different flavors. That's really what I need to figure out now.

I appreciate everyone's help sooo much. Thank you and I hope to pay back the favor someday with my vast knowledge...once I get it

Yes, look for T3S coils specifically.

This is where I've found the best prices http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?page=shop.browse&category_id=46

Here's a place to pick some up on the rather inexpensive side.

SmartVapes 306 Dripping Atomizer

Oh and the knowledge? It will come. You'll get it. I promise ya that! :D

I followed the video above which is great by the way, thanks for that. I do have a couple questions. I have followed it about 4 times now and so far kinda good.
First, can that little wick be replaced? Even following the instructions on not to handle it, I came to a point where I had to a little and just like the video said, I came apart, I have twisted it enough to make it work, but it makes me very worried about damage which leads me to my new question.
During my second time cleaning I noticed the bottom grommet/seal looked to be melted. Not broken just melted out of shape. I'm not sure what I did wrong there, but are there replacement parts made for that too?

OK I guess I have one more questions about atomizers. Katdarling, I see the link you sent. Now is that easy to clean? I'm finding myself at the beginning trying a different flavor almost everyday. Some are just nasty or no taste and others are very good. I am trying to pile up a good supply before breaking the cigarette habit. I do not want to go back once I step forward.
Thanks again,
Dana

penut599, if your local brick and mortar store has a tasting station try 3 or 4 different flavors each time you visit, also learn to like samplers from online vendors. That way you wont feel so bad if a flavor is not to your liking. I started with a tobacco vape and within 3 days never wanted to taste tobacco again...my favorites now are bakery , teas, and deserts with an occasional fruit here and there.

Buying toppers one or two at a time is a good idea...my personal favs are the evods/protanks but you may prefer others

get another battery as soon as you can there are many suppilers listed here on ECF to get them quickly and reasonably.....I am 7 weeks off the smokes now and will not go back as long as I can get the yummies I have been vapeing.....Welcome to our playground
