Its getting juice. I think the problem was to much juice. I started tinkering when i got home and i did a 5 wrap coil with a short wick setup. Now its getting pretty good vapor. The nicrome wire im using has a final ohm reading of 1.4. Combine that with 3.2 volts= decent vapor, good flavor, and a nice throat hit. I am using the ego-c twist and i love being able to change the voltage. I use 4 volts with my nova. I will keep tinkering with the coils i make and try different amount of wraps and voltage an will post good combos that i find. And chris: i got the mcmaster-carr loosely twisted ceramic rope. Got 5 feet for $15. That comes out to be 15 feet of wick when completely untwisted

I've been using 100% cotton yarn and have not had any problem with wicking the juice. $3.29 for a skein with 40% off from Hobby Lobby online coupon. Cut a length of yarn, boiled it for 25 minutes in distilled water and let it dry for a day and a half with a little help from my blow dryer at the end. Vapor and flavor is excellent!

Use more wraps for a higher resistance. Why are you sticking so low as 1.4 ohms and 3.2 volts when you have a twist? More wraps equals more contact for vapor production. Wrap that thing up to 2 ohms and crank the voltage.

Yep, would have to agree with this one. The way I understand it, more surface area being heated the better. My coils usually range from 2.0-2.4, and just "crank it up to 11"!!! (turn the dial past 4 volts) :)

I'm going to check out the ceramic. I'm fiddling with 2 DID clones at the moment as I've got a Provari on order (I say that so proudly). I've altered the DID clone with a second wick hole to make the horseshoe from the wick. I can get a much longer set of coils now in a half moon around the center post. At McMaster they have the ceramic sleeve rated at 1100 degrees, I'd like to use that over the center post to protect the coil. I also need a 1/32 drill bit so I don't destroy another DID top, not that it can't be repaired, a drop of silver and re drill smaller.

As for cotton, I use square braid cotton candle wick. I got 40 yards for about $10 or $12. In the Vivi mini, it works great, lasts several days. I fray the ends outside of the coil for even better wicking.

Alright guys. After tinkering today i think i found a combo i like. I stopped by a craft store and got some white 100% cotton yarn. With the nicrome i have, i wrapped the yarn (after boiling and drying) 7-8 times giving me 2.0-2.4 ohms. Comining that with 4.0-4.2 volts on my twist, i am getting great vapor and awesome flavor. I think i will continue tinkering with the ceramic but will use the cotton in my primary tank. I appreciate all the coments. It really helped getting some outside info.
