Hey guys, I am going to be ordering a bunch of tobacco flavorings and I am EXTREMELY interested in getting the community input on good ones as I have never played with any tobacco before. I am having a hard time finding good descriptions so I need help. Just in the FA sections theres 15 tobacco flavorings and I cant determine the diffrence in (for example) desert ship, black fire and cowboy blend. I basically would like you to put up your favorite, a brief description and obviously the company you prefer.

Not sure what profile you are looking for. If you're looking for ashy then Hangsen isn't the way to go. If you're looking for smooth/slightly sweet/nutty/earthy tobacco leaf flavor then Hangsen is definitely a good place to start because it's so easy to mix % wise. 5-7% across the board seems like a sweet spot for most. Works great for me. It's almost idiot proof in many ways. I started out with it when I first started mixing my own and over a year later I'm still vaping some of my original recipes on a daily basis.

All the houses mentioned offer excellent choices. I cannot recommend any one flavor without knowing what your preferences are...strong, mild, aromatic, cigar etc...
When I started DIYing there weren't as many to choose from, so I went with 6 flavors from FlavourArt...Desert Ship, Burley, Latakia, Dark Vapure, Perique Black, and Maxx Blend.
I haved since tried tons of other flavors from different manufactures, as well as more FlavourArt flavors. I still use 5 of my original 6 flavors constantly. I didn't like Maxx Blend(personal). But I also use a lot of Inawera, Flavors Express(SC flavors at VZ, and Bull City). German Flavors has some awesome flavors too, and as mentioned by other posters Hangsen has good stuff.
My point is that if you go by my advice you will get what I like and not necessarily what you like.....so pick a manufacturer, get a few flavors from them, and take it from there.
Good luck and have tons of fun.

The best tasting tobacco ejuices are made from NET's ( naturally extracted tobacco ) which you can DIY. You can extract your own from Pipe Tobacco or Cigars, or buy the extracts and/or already mixed juices from sellers like NET.com, MyVapeJuice, Good Ejuice, Want2Vape, Mountain Oak, etc.

A couple years ago I tried dozens of the synthetic tobaccos and, for me, Hangsen was - by far - the best and most realistic tobacco flavors I found. Inawera makes several additives that are great, a Virginia tobacco absolute, DNB (adds an ashy flavor), and a "Dark tobacco" but in truth Hangsen tobaccos don't really need additives, they were good as is. Taste is subjective so the best advise is to buy small tester size bottles of one or two flavors from different companies until you find what suits you. The best tobacco flavor I have found is NET and I make my own. It's been my ADV for nearly two years but it's gunky and requires routine (every 5ml), re-wicking and dry burning so is not for everyone.

Here's a few recommendations;
Hangsen RY-1 RY1-HS - Bull City Vapor
Hangsen Highway Highway-HS - Bull City Vapor
Hangsen Indian tobacco Indian Tobacco-HS - Bull City Vapor
Inawera Virginia absolute Tobacco Absolute Virginia WG-INW - Bull City Vapor

I've gone through Hangsens site several times. They "say" they extract flavor directly from tobacco leaves in a state of the art facility.

Our facility has over 100,000 square feet of extraction factory to filter out the toxic ingredients and extract the effective ingredients from tobacco leaves. To process the ingredients to create Hangsen’s best e-liquid is another 40,000 square feet to complete the ingredients processing.

I looked at the pictures. It's a serious operation. I have no reason not to believe them considering the consistency. I know they aren't technically a "NET" but their flavors aren't likely to be synthetic either. I suppose they could doctor them with additives.

I do know that HS tobaccos vape extremely clean. None of them gunk coils fast at all. Love their products.

I believe they are formulated using tobacco absolute (TA), and synthetic additives, likely the reason they are so darn good. Not a full spectrum flavor like a macerated NET can provide but then again you don't have to deal with the gunk factor either. Not a bad compromise for those who dislike the high maintenance aspect of vaping NET.

Sorry boys and girls, let me tell you what I like. I DO NOT like anything that taste like a regular old cig. I am kind of lost on how to describe what I like but let me try. I really enjoy a good RY4 Double so I do like a little sweetness but I also really like deep complex dark flavors. Is Hangsens Turkish good because I LOVE Turkish type tobac. I do not have tons and tons of options either, I just want to find two or three ADVs. My first juices I like them all but I know I could have better. I like flavorings to my tobac as well, chocolate and light honey especially and not so much fruity. Here is what I can get you guys tell me what you think.
HangsenGambler, Deluxe, Gold and Silver, Flue Cured, Turkish, RY4, Congress, Golden VI, DM, Canadian, Mild Seven, USA Mix and Desert Ship
FA7 Leaves, Black Fire, Cowboy Blend, Dark Vapure, Desert Ship, Cuban, Dusk, Latika, Maxx Blend, Mellow Sunset, Perique Black, Shade and Virgina
I can also get a few diffrent TFA FW and Super Concentrated flavorings as well but those two brands have the most options so I listed them

I am going to be going for a really nice, caramel heavy RY4 Double and I would really like to be able to mix up a rich, deep, aromatic chocolate tobacco and any other good idea for mixes please advise. Going to be placing my order Monday

I like the Hangsen Highway. Nice tobacco with a distinct nutty note. Great on it's own at 4 to 5 %. Also great as a mixer.

I haven't tried the Desert Ship or the Turkish but they both get mostly positive reviews, especially the Desert Ship and it's on my list to try because it's supposed to be a little stronger than some of the other Hangsens.

I've tried Hangsen Ry1 and RY4 and loved the flavors at 3 to 4 percent but they just seemed a little too weak to me. It was like trying to vape ultra lights lol. And if I bumped the percents up, they seemed to go haywire some way, so very tricky to mix for me. Others love they though so ymmv and all that.

JeremyR posted his list of what was strongest to weakest in the Hangsen thread if you like to take a look at that. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/440440-hangsen-thread-329.html#post15381697

The FA tobaccos that I've tried are unusual and hard to discribe. Hopefully someone else will pop in with some recommendations on those.

One more flavor I'd like to mention is TFA DK Tobacco. It seems to be a love it / hate it flavor and gets mixed reviews but for me it's a great as a bump up flavor at 1%. In other words, say I had some FA 7 Leaves Ultimate which I like, but sort of leaves me saying 'where's the tobacco'. I can add in 1% of the DK and bingo, there it is. It has a bit of a chemical taste at higher percents that some folks cant get past but at one percent in a mix and a couple hours steeping and I don't get that at all. But do think long and hard on that one before trying.

Good luck and keep us posted. :vapor:
