I am also a long time pipe smoker. Hand-Crafted ePipes, custom made personal vaping devices from ePipeMods.com ...more than just an eCig has some very good ones. Also try the box mod from pbdragon.com- ejuice for the masses
I have two epipemod pipes and the box mode as well as a Diablo from pbdragon. The diablo is an auto-switch, so to do other things, you will need either the box mod or an epipemod. Most of the other pipes out there are some sort of propitiatory. I think my facebook album is public, so maybe you can see what I've done with my pipes?

EDIT: opps I forgot your other question in the excitement of meeting another pipe person!!
I have an eGo Twist and it also works quite well.

Hi! Just to clarify (or make it more confusing ;)) An "eGo" is a style of battery, not a brand. JoyTech is the brand, but there are lots of rebrands or clones available. It is fat, like a Sharpie pen, and has internal 510 threading (that fits cartos, attys, etc.) and external eGo threading (that fits clearos, thread covers and cones).

The eGo can be constance voltage (a.k.a. regular of standard) or variable voltage (a.k.a. Twist).

Ego IS a good battery. I prefer the original Joye brand- it functions and holds up better than the cheaper ones.

Once you practice vaping for awhile longer, you won't get those burnt hits from your pipes and learn to enjoy it.

There are lots of little things involved in vaping and the more you read here and ask questions, the better your experience will be.

Stick with it! You can do it! Many, many have.

Bullette - that looks interesting, except having the button there means you cannot hold it as comfortably. but it does look interesting!!!

r77r7r - those are pretty tips!!

The 601 and 601-c pipes use 510 connections and you can get hollow extensions to stretch them out a bit. I have two small black ones that I use in one o
the ePipe 605 is nice, but proprietary.

I've recently found Handmade Electronic Pipes For Sale Buy Epipes E-pipes - Mycroft Milverton's Magnificent Electronic Pipes not sure if U.S. can purchase or not, but if you are in the UK, there are some very nice ones there. I know if I wasn't loosing my job I would be trying to buy one!
