Im needing a little help deciphering these makers..im looking to get the Hercules by rainbow heaven and i came across this version for sale . now it says brand is rainbow; however the finish looks polished and hercules is satin; so im inclined to believe this is the fastec or tobecco version. does anyone know for sure either way?
the main reason im looking to get it from there is they also have the MKB-TS in stock id like to also pick up.

any ideas?

Thanks

That definitely looks like the Rainbow Heaven version. The Tobeco & fasttech versions are highly polished (like the original GG Ithaka) & the corners are more rounded...the clear section of the tanks on those also don't fit quite as flush as the RH version's do. Its brushed like the RH version as well...its just the lighting that makes it look more polished (notice how the threaded portions of the internal parts are also really shiny).

DV is usually pretty reliable in their descriptions..

If Eric says it's Rainbow, it is. He is an honest dude and has supplied Rainbow before. When He's carried Tobeco, it has been clearly stated.

A little something needs to be said here and that is just because one clone is priced way higher than the other doesn't mean it's any better. ( one has it's price "fixed")
I'm not even going to try to say one is better than the other as they seem to be about the same to me. Just wanting folks to get the most for their vaping dollars.

I was about to cut the nut that the center pin screws into with my dremel but before I did I tried the nuts from my V1 and V2 Terminators. First off both nuts will work with the Herc. center pin. The one from V1 Term. is so big around that it covers up the slots in the bottom the Herc. ceramic. The nut from V2 Term. is perfect (I did not include the o-ring underneath it). The top of the pin screws in level to the top of the nut but the nut is small enough to leave the slots exposed. So far so good. No more bubling/gurgling. No more soft snoring sound. Excess juice can still re-wick back up into the channels.

I was bored this morning so I did a quick sand and polish on my Hercules. Looks decent, but definitely needs another pass on the sanding and polishing. My mkbts came polished from rainbow but It will need another pass as well.

have run a couple tank fulls through my Hercules. Overall very pleased with it. Almost as good as a dripper RDA and a lot more pocket friendly. No leaks yet although I get a slight gurgle occasionally. Only thing close to a complaint is it heats up very quickly, the threads on the air control are a bit sloppy so it does not stay put and it is a heavy sucker. Looks good on top of a GP Paps 2.5 brushed. Worth the money I paid for it used. Not sure I would pay retail of 99.95 though.

Try clamping down the mouthpiece cap a bit more, the more it compresses the o-ring the tighter it grips the mouthpiece, stopping it from being loose.

I've been getting constant gurgling and snoring sound with every build I've done, which is about 7 at this point. It is extremely annoying and my draw seems really pretty tight on the Herc, another annoyance of mine. The draw on the Naughty/Termy was perfect IMO. I just watched the bishopheals video to remedy this with the 2x2 oring but I don't have any. So your solution here sounds pretty interesting. You just took the nut from the Naughty/Termy v2 and eliminated the gurgle/snoring? So far so good? I have a v1 and v2 nut to use so on my next build I'll try the v2 nut and see if it works.

So, I went ahead and rebuilt my Hercules and used the o-ring and the nut from an extra rebuildable section from my Nautilus and for several hours now I've had no leaking or gurgling. Leaking wasn't the issue before but just mentioning that just in case. I did also swap out the mouthpiece with another I have of the exact same size but unlike the Hercules mouthpiece this one did not decrease in diameter towards the top. I've noticed better airflow and as I said before, no gurgling as of yet.
