I am going to start by saying I believe sunlight, heat, air and moisture would be the enemies.

I don't believe there is necessarily a shelf life and certainly agree with sun vaporer on not keeping it in the fridge. The fridge can create moisture. I have a bottle of propylene glycol sitting in my window sill which is 95-99% of the ingredients in our liquid. My pg was purchased at a pharmacy and has no expiration date on it. I also never refrigerated my analogs( I understand there is other processes involved with the nic in analogs) chewing tobacco is not kept in the fridge. So I would say the nicotine is not that succeptible to spoiling.

Final verdict............if you keep your bottles full and downsize to smaller bottles after opening to keep the air out, keep it away from long term exposure to sunlight(dark place) don't let it get too hot(just because heat is never good) and keep it away from moisture which a fridge could certainly cause. There is no reason it couldn't last much longer.

cool, dark and dry

+1 on 'good advice'.

I got some insight on shelf life talking to Mark at innovapor. Their 'fresh' flavor is unflavored and has a shelf life of 2 years, no matter the nic content. But when their flavoring ethyl malto? is added, it reduces the shelf life to 1 year. This is no matter whether it is the 'regular' smallest about of flavoring or their 'Rich' highest amount'. I think this interprets to the DIY in that one might do better in only making up a batch from unflavored whether nic or no nic PG or VG, for what you'll be using in the near term.

IOW, I wouldn't take two 100ml bottles of nic and unflavored VG/PG and add lorann flavoring to it and then think I can store it for a year or more. I'd wait until I needed some flavored juice and make maybe 30-50ml of it, taking care to eliminate as much air in the bigger bottle as can be managed, even if it is left 'dented' in/depressed.
