Here we go - attempting my first analog-free day!

I got my Vapor King shipment last night and played around with it for a couple of hours before bed. So far I'm loving it! When I was vaping the 7-11 brand for a few days, I wasn't convinced I could give up analogs for a PV. Turns out it's a good throat hit that really satisfies the non-nicotine aspect of my cravings.

I'm really digging the 555, RY4, and the vapor production on the Dunhall. Is it the way I vape, or do some juices just produce more vapor than others?

I'm not sure I'm completely ready to give up analogs 100%...but...I'm an addict, so when am I ever going to be ready? I'm just going to do my best.

Good luck to everyone trying to quit!

Some have more TH than other flavors and MG of the juice itself makes a big difference also.

What I did on the first day was anytime I had a craving for a cig I started vaping and the feeling left after a few minutes. it isnt hard if every time you get the urge just start vaping. After a few days it becomes so much more natural and the carving starts to leave for a cig until you just no longer want one. good luck to you!

You can do it..

Good luck overture!

What worked for me was to let it happen naturaly without setting a specific date or trying to force myself to quit. I also bumped my nic up to 24mg after the first week, which seemed to do the trick for me. Haven't had an analog since.

Again, good luck. Remember there's a lot of good folks here to support you along the way. :)

I'm in the same boat right now. I have some 30 and 36mg juice for when I have a really big craving. That usually works for me. I had my wife hide the almost full pack of smokes on me. I am allowing myself 1 analog a day (usually first thing in the morning). Trying not to smoke it if I can. I also told my wife that If I need one to satisfy a major craving it's fine, but if I ask for another within a few hours to tell me NO!

So far this is working for me.

Good Luck!

Sounds like you have the right attitude - just take it day by day.
I did both - only about 5 cigs a day - for two months before switching completely.

It's been about 2 1/2 months now with only vaping, but I've had a couple of days
where if I could have purchased 1/4 packs I would have been at the smoke shop in
2 minutes flat.

Last night though, my sister snuck off to smoke a cig at a family barbeque, and
when she returned I almost gagged at the smell... Guess that's a good sign for me! :D

You know...one of my biggest fears is that in a couple of days when I get my full sense of smell back I'll realize how much my apartment stinks and I'll want to move! :(

I immediately fell in love with the fact that I don't smell like cigarettes, but I'm still smoking!! Er...vaping. Good luck from a fellow newbie.:toast:

Thats why I didn't smoke inside my house. Came home from vacation a few years back when we lived in an apartment and my god did it stink!!! Stopped smoking inside that day.

I agree with everyone here... good luck on every step! I'm in the same boat. I smoked my last analog this morning. I bought a V4L kit and have been slowly weaning myself for the past two and a half weeks. I love the kit and in all honesty, I would really miss the actual act of smoking if someone told me to stop cold turkey... been there done that one and it stunk. :( But I have been finding that I enjoy the vaping much more because of the flavors.. just as shanagan described. it's shocked me how much I really don't "miss" smokes and the next week will prove to be the clincher if I can totally make it without buying a pack or bumming from a friend!!
