Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
No more ifs and`s or buts.

Last month I got some juice that was not up to its normal tastiness, it was pretty damn weak. So I made the decision to take the final step in quality control.

Needless to say, I`m very excited. :?)

Here`s what I got,

Nicotine Testing Kit6-01-0018-00-18-001$6.99
100mg Unflavored Nicotine BaseSize120mlBase50/50 Mix6-01-0003-00-17-201$14.99
Propylene Glycol USPSize1 Liter6-46-0001-00-20-001$15.49
Vegetable Glycerin USPSize250ml6-46-0002-00-18-001$5.29

Syringe with Blunt Tip NeedleSyringe Size10cc6-29-0053-00-08-001$1.29
Subtotal$61.19

What did I forget? Maybe some sweetener for the two desert flavs. I guess I`m going to need that for the cheesecake and the cherry.
Any chance I can use granulated sugar for that? These two will most certainly go in the dripper, while the tobacs will go in tanks, so the dripper is easy to clean and change wicks in. Any chance I can use regular old sugar?

Looking for ward to being part of the DIY club, :?)

Edit, I might have put this in the wrong place, LOL.
Please move to DIY if required..

No go on sugar - it'll KILL the coil...
Throw some sweet in on your next order.
You can use "Cotton Candy" flavoring, which is AKA "Ethyl Maltol" as a sweetener.
You can also get something like "Bavarian Cream" to sweeten - I do that, using The Flavor Apprentice flavors - adds a sweet and creamy to either a fruit or tobacco mix. They have a new Diacetyl-free version - i bought some but haven't tried it yet. I'm not so worried that I'm gonna dump the old stuff...

Have fun!!

A big congrats on the beginning of your DIY journey. I will tell you right now, I so enjoy my juice better than any I ever bought. I think that is the best reason in the world to DIY. Of course the savings is #1 reason. But you know what? It is also fun and rewarding. If you have any questions, there are lots of people around here who can help. Have fun and happy mixing to you.

Doctor!? What is your method for mixing?

LOL. Well, my wife hates the way I cook. While she measures everything, I pretty much do everything by sight. So I`ll go with 30ml bottles, add "about" 10% VG, add another 60%-70% PG, add nic (100mg/ml) to almost full, then add flavoring. Shake vigorously, maybe use some of the quick steeping methods Iv read about (warm water), and drip drip drip to taste.

That`s plan A, :?)

I should note I was a professional cook for a few years and my eye sight is about good enough. :?)

Edit; Seriously, Im going to use the calculator found on egic express and the syringes and droppers to make it a little better then "by eye".

I would suggest starting small with like 5 or 10 ml batches at first until you find what you really like...no sense making 30 ml's of something you can't stand and throwing it away. For small batches like that you will probably want some 1cc and 3cc syringes, you can find them on Amazon for real cheap. You also might want to break down that liter of PG into smaller jars and put them in the freezer, 4oz Mason jars work great and just keep one in the fridge for mixing.

Look up Dannyv45 and Hoosiers blogs, there is some great info in there to get you started.
Also a lot more info in the DIY E-Liquid forum.
