Just how awesome you all are was recently put into sharp relief for me. Not long ago, I purchased a used sports car. I joined a forum dedicated to info on the car, and in thread after thread, people are rude, stand offish, and try to be sarcastic or belittle others at any opportunity. Not every poster is that way, but enough of them are that it makes me not want to post there unless I absolutely need some piece of information I can't find elsewhere.

I joined up here almost a year ago and I am continually amazed and appreciative of how helpful and kind everyone is here. ECF is, hands down, one of the nicest and most helpful group of people on the internet.

I've seen people offer reams and reams of advice to new vapers. I've seen people generously give unused gear to others who can't afford to get started or to those who blew all their disposable income on a crappy PV. I've seen countless threads offering moral and emotional support (one of them offered moral support to me even). I've seen nothing but good, helpful, caring people here.

You are all a great group of people, and I'm glad to be a part of the community. I feel it's important to recognize this fact and encourage its continuance in the future.

Thanks, ECF! Keep up the awesomeness that you are!

OP. I can totally relate to you about car forums. I used to have a sports car and I found myself obsessing over it wayyyyy to much. The people in my car forum were dicks and full of loser racing wanna be's. The forum was also basically all males which is a total sausage fest and upgrades to your car are suppose to give you a bigger penis. I bought into all that crap and I honstly think I was brain washed at the time. My 1/4 time was like 13.96??? I cant remember. It's totally not my scene and I found that my car attracted the dumbest girls. I could go on and on.

Sounds familiar. Everyone in the forums I've been posting on are obsessed with Volk wheels. When I asked what made them so great and expensive, I got a ration of crap for asking such a stupid question, told I'm looking for an excuse to put cheap wheels on my car, etc. The funny thing was that it was actually just the opposite. I was looking for a reason to spend $2.5k on a set of wheels.
