Hi Momato and welcome to ECF. It does take some time to get used to the craving that cigs have on us. I was a 2 pack a day smoker for over 40 years and have quit numerous times only to give in and go back to smoking. This is my 3rd attempt using a e-cig device and so far I'm smoke free for the last 10 months. The cravings do last a long time because it's not just the nicotine we miss. Remember there are more than 4000 chemicals in smokes not to mention the habit of smoking itself. I started out using 36mg and now I'm down to 12mg but I do have some 18mg for days that I feel I need a little more. Those days fortunately are few and far apart. Another thing is your device may not be giving you the action you need. I've gone from an ego with clearos to mech mods and vv/vw devices with rebuildable atomizers. The thing you will find out is that you are now on a journey to get you away from cigs and what is going to work best for you to keep you off of them. I am new on here as well but I used to read as much as I could on this forum before I joined and learned a lot from it. Ask questions and learn as much as you can and before you know it smoking will be a thing of the past. Hang in there and remember that everday your vaping is another day your not smoking! Good Luck!

Welcome Momato and congratulations on choosing to quit smoking, I smoked nearly 2 packs a day when I was a smoker. When I started vaping in December I started out at 18 and I couldn't put the cigarettes down until January when I purchased 24 mg in a few of my favorite flavors. That did the trick for me. And remember it only takes a few seconds for nicotine from smoking to hit your system, it takes almost 2 minutes for nicotine to hit your system when vaping. Don't rush off to smoke give vaping a chance to get into your system and vape like hell during those times. ;)

You didn't mention what it is you are using to battle this habit with. What ecig/pv/apv/mech are you using? What type of topper? You may need a better delivery system but we really don't know without knowing what you're using. I quit a 33yr habit using many different things, I evolved and my equipment got better so I'm 17+ months cig free. This forum helps me too. I come here as a safe place, it keeps me interested in what I'm doing and there are so many good people that offer so much. It took a lot of effort and forced concentration on my part to quit but it happened. I started out at 18mg, stayed there for 6 months, equipment got way better and I knocked it down to 16mg. My equipment got even better and now I'm at 6mg/ml of nic. I've even started adding WTA to help me quit mad vaping, it's really helped and it only takes a little for me. Just know you are not alone and we have all been where you are and feel your pain. I'm glad you came here :). Vape it out, vape it hard until the craving has passed, that's how I got through my cravings when I first started. Keep us posted on how you're doing!

I smoked 47 years 2 pad so I really know what you are going through. It will take a bit of time but is one of the best things I've ever done. For me it was finding a juice I loved. I would not worry about a dna 30 until you are sure you are done with cigs, the mvp is a good choice as it has an ohm reader and a 2600mah battery that lasts days.

I would recommend the MVP V2, or if you like an ego style you could get Innokin VV 3 as your next step with maybe Kanger Mega Aero or mini Aero and the Nautilus is good as well. With the MVP and the VV3 you'll be able to adjust your vape to both your juice and your liking. Then when your ready you can move up to something else. Like I said before this is a journey. Enjoy your ride and keep vaping!!:vapor:

The MVP2 was a game changer for me at the time. You can use coils at .9-1.1 and up to 3ohms if you're wanting to eventually try your hand at rebuilding. I didn't try until I was a year into vaping but that's cuz' it made me nervous after reading about the warnings/ohm's law/battery venting/shorts etc.....I just decided it was time and kept reading up on things as I moved ahead and I'm still here to type about it. So glad you found ECF.

Be happy with 2 a day and who cares. I did that for 3 months then all of a sudden when I bought a MVP I realized I went 3 days without a smoke so I decided just to quit. Been smoke free almost a year now. I never intended to quit when I started vaping I just wanted to cut back on smoking. Congratulations on getting down to two a day. I was a heavy smoker for 42 years.

It can take different amounts of time for different people. I took six weeks about before stopping completely. I know some others that took a couple of months. Doesn't mean you won't get to zero. Doesn't mean a year from now, you won't be answering somebody having the same problem. :)

It's been, oh, 15 months since my last cigarette now but I remember that last couple a day hung around a while. The first one in the morning hung on for some time.

Look at it the other way round. Two a day is down from what? How many are you not smoking? I actually decided at one point that if the best I could get was two or three cigs a day, down from two packs a day, I could live with that. But then, somewhere in there, cigs started tasting absolutely revolting and would give me a mild headache. Wasn't long after that, I stopped completely.

Take a look at your habits and see if you can tell what might "trigger" those last few. See what you might try to substitute vaping for them. I tried shoving smoking off to be inconvenient. Like keeping the pack and lighter and all in a kitchen cabinet. Making myself have to go get one cig at a time and smoke it right there in the kitchen. The vapor was handy, the cigs less so.

But cut yourself some slack. This isn't a race or anything. Nobody's grading you. :) If it takes a couple more weeks to kill off those last couple of cigs... so?
