using a efest 18650 2500mah 35amp battery... what do you guys recommend I build my atomizer to? I'm currently vaping at .7ohms. but I was just wondering if that is ideal. Should I go lower? Should it be higher? Any recommendation would be helpful. Thanks.

Keep in mind that the efest advertises its "pulse rate", whatever that is - the continuous discharge rate (CDR) is 20 amps, so make sure your build isn't bypassing (or, really getting too close to) that CDR.
0.7ohms is well within the CDR, so no worries there. Do you like the vape at 0.7 ohms? If so, keep it. If you get tired of it, try something else. Is it too warm? Go higher in resistance, or try different wire gauges, etc. Not enough vapor for your taste? Go lower (or change gauge, wrap style, etc), but go slowly lower.
No need to fix what ain't broken, and there's no harm in playing around and trying different things; do what you want! Safely
I'm running dual twisted 30ga coils, around 9 wraps, around a 2mm bit. Clocks in around 0.5, and it's nice: barely warm, enough vapor, good flavor. Different builds for different folks, and atties.

If you are new to mech mods and rebuildables I highly recommend you spend some time with Baditude (one of our resident battery experts) and visit his blogs. You are now 100% in control of your own safety (and others around you). Make sure you purchase an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries.

Start by getting thicker wire. I'd probably start with 24g. Build to .4-.5 and see how it performs for you. 30 gauge is better suited for clearomizers and people that are trying to use an rda with a low power mod. A dual coil rda on a mech will handle and offer better performance with thicker wire.

Okay, first people need to stop recommending What they prefer.......without forethought. A personal preference is just that and may not be anything the Op would like or even understand.
30ga. is a bit thin for a RDA and is usable but better at higher ohms. Lower ohm builds will start to become Harsh due to high heat on the thin wire.
28ga. is a good standard for the type of atomizer you have. Trident does not have a lot of build/wick room compared to many recently released atomizers.
26Ga. may be acceptable if you are looking to go very low ohms in your build. .4-.8 or so.
24ga is good for little in an 18650 mod except running Very Very low ohm builds and quickly draining even high Mah batteries. A 4.ga build is rather slow to heat up unless extremely low ohm and takes time to cool so build needs to be well done to make sure the wick/coil is always wet or things can go south real fast.
Take your time, build lower a little on each attempt and with properly sized Kanthal A1 or equivalent wire. When you hit on something you like work to perfect rather than try lower. Often a good build, when repeated and adjusted will become a Great Vape.

I think people should learn what they like, this whole exercise is getting off cigs not a fireman's vapor convention. Learn to use the equip to suit you not anyone else.
Yeh, I like the .5ohm duel coil build i've got going right now, I'm just trying to get my battery to charge on an xsmart efest charger. Didnt come with the 12v so i had to use a miniusb to charge at 5v.. pretty sure its been like 3 hours still not full... hrm.
