Hi!

I am brand new to vaping, would like to quit smoking. I ordered a V2 package and while it is ok... it isnt going to work for me. The batteries and cartridges dont last long enough.

So I researched and just bought 2 eGo Twist batteries, a charger, 2 mini ViVi Novas and some flavors from Highbrow.

Is there anything else I am going to need to get going?

Thanks!

That seems like a super duper set up to me! I bet many wish they were smart as you starting out!
Maybe an atomizer and drip tip for trying out new flavors (or if you end up liking dripping, then that's great too).
The mini ViVi Novas are still pretty bulky, so if you want something more compact but still able to carry enough juice, you might look into a smaller clearomizer. There's so many different designs of clearomizers out there, all of varying quality and size.

Also might want to try other similar variable voltage devices, like the new Apollo eGo-VV, that goes up to 6 volts (twist only goes up to 4.8). And it can be a passthrough!
Apollo eGo-VV Battery
With coupon code FALL10 it drops this 650 mAh VV to $22.95, so that's not bad for such a variable device if you like going that route. I ordered one to try out though haven't gotten it yet. I'm hoping a larger battery will come out soon, but since I already have a large assortment of batteries I don't mind 650: backups for backups. :p

There's the new KGO VV:
KGO Variable Voltage Battery by SLB | The Plume Room
3.0-6.0v 650mAh $25.99 No passthrough

And then there's GotVapes Spinner:
VISION Spinner Variable Voltage eGo 3.3-4.8v 1100mah - Black [gv-VisionSpinner1100mah-BLACK] - $29.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more
3.3-4.8V 1100 mAh $29.99 No passthrough

Though in the end, you cannot go wrong with a KGO. :p I like 'em anytime anywhere. :)

Thanks everyone!

What is a clearomizer? Is that what the mini vivi is?

There is so much to learn about all this, hopefully it gets easier :)

About how long before I need to replace heads in the vivi?

I'm excited to get my stuff! Thank goodness I have the V2 cigs to hold me over till then

A ViVi Nova is a type of clearomizer, and a clearomizer is a "clear" cartomizer (cartridge + atomizer in one, and there are rebuildable cartomizers, too). I think the clear are best since you can see the level of juice and whether you should top off or if you're getting too close to the top when filling and such. A ViVi Nova is considered a tank, or cartomizer tank, or clearomizer tank, since it can hold a lot of juice in a tank. Various vendors will word things differently, which gets confusing. And if I've provided any wrong/misleading info, experts feel free to chime in, because I'm starting to confuse myself and second guess myself, since then there's tanks with wicks but then there's tanks with cartomizers inside with wicks all wound up and then there's... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sorry

I'm so envious of you guys... Wanted to quit smoking. Tried to buy online from US. Item blocked and confiscated by custom. Damn the authorities... i'm from the little red dot country.

The kgo VV from hoosierecig.com is a pass through. charges to full really fast. good choice the with the vivi nova for sure but if you was wanting a vv device the kgo is the way to go. they seemd to fix alot of the complaints with it like the button on my is the new stronger button and the led screen dosent light up when you fire the battery. its a great battery

About how long before I need to replace heads in the vivi?

If you go to This link:
GotVapes VISION ViVi NOVA™ 3.5ml V2.5 REBUILDABLE TANK [gv-VIVINOVA-TANKV2.5] - $12.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more
At the bottom there will be a YouTube vid showing a review of the vision vivi nova. Towards the end, he shows you how to replace the coil and wick on the head.

I was researching the nova because I am tired of always filling my cartridges and worrying about the atomizer losing performance (didn't know that you had to maintain and there are too many different ways to clean and dry burning etc....). The rebuild on the Vivi Nova heads looks easy enough for this girl to try. Now to convince hubby that I need more things.

Hoping that will be the magic combo for me. I already have basic eGo C kit (2 batteries etc) plus 2 twists, 650 and 1000. So I'm good there. The only thing I'm not sure about is will I need the collar for the twist so the Nova sits on the twist nicely... On to more research!

Sounds like you started out very nicely!
