    :-x
Yeah, 1 positive out of this whole situation we are all in!! :thumb: I’m trying my best to support Aussie vape businesses right now (with the current situation), but, unfortunately, they haven’t reduced their prices to reflect the USD going down somewhat (I guess they did most likely buy their stock at higher prices after all when I think about it!)-There doesn’t seem to be much hardware moving around the world/getting into the country (with Chinese new year then Corona hot on its heels)-not sure if prices will eventually come down here to reflect the cheaper prices they most likely paid their distributor-I’m thinking they may just pocket the extra profit rather than pass it on to the customer unfortunately. Just about all here just can’t compete price wise with US/China sellers. If it’s a massive price difference, or a tank I just can’t get here that I desperately want, I’ll go international-but the postage is frustrating at the best of times, let alone right now! :-x
I don’t know where u are in the world, but here in Australia, the government is giving disabled pensioners (like me) $750 and another $750 in July as part of the economic stimulus package-most will go into savings, but I will most definitely have to treat myself to a couple of tanks I think!
I’m mainly trawling the “sale” section of sites here-the benefits at least 3 fold-supporting local, able to nab some super bargains, & generally, they seem to be tanks that have been out a while-so I can usually get a good idea as to whether or not they are any good, based on YouTube reviews/this forum-tried & tested so to speak. Being disabled, & being on a very limited income makes the research on tanks/mods super important-I can’t really afford duds & mistakes!! The sale section is where I found the serpent elevate-I was real stoked on that one-and cheap!!
I quite often look at 3A vape, but I seem to be having issues with being able to select English & AUD-I used to be able to-just suddenly 1 day, even tho I’m selecting English, it won’t let me-it will let me select every other language, except English!! Very frustrating!!!:-x

I live in Victoria, Aussie:thumb: and am also on Government benefits atm so I always shop around pretty and mostly buy from China or US.
All this shopping talk makes me want to buy something;)

OMG!! I have just been drooling over the Thor II in the last couple days!! A dream mod for me!! I don’t have any DNA’s, but I would love one!! I’ve been looking at a cheap (clearance) Wismec Reuleaux DNA250 (TC/VW) 3X18650, already $50 off that comes down further to $110 with a discount code. I’m sceptical about the site (I’ve never bought from them), & the mod-whether or not it’s genuine (at that price)-I can find next to zero info/reviews on the particular mod I’m looking at. Seems a bit sus to me!
The Thor II is the no 1 dream, but the Odin 250C DNA of Bogan’s (& a couple others) is an extremely close 2nd-the Thor no 1 as I’m an absolute purple tragic, I just adore that colour!
When I started out I had a Nord, closely followed by an OBS cube, VooPoo Drag, then made the mistake of buying a Aegis X-I went for it because I was convinced by the salesman that it was (supposedly-yeah right) tough-I’m in a chair, so I’m a bit tough on my “daily” out & about mods-they unfortunately get dropped from time to time (although not from a great height)-even tho I try to be as careful as I can! It’s a bit hard when u have both ur hands/arms occupied, wheeling a chair! Invariably the mod gets chucked in the lap/between the legs, (since it’s easier to get to than in the backpack on the back of my chair)-so accidents are bound to happen-even with screen protector & silicone case! I should have gone with the legend! Nevertheless, it looks like Geekvape will replace the X under warranty, since the screen of it is a design fault-they shouldn’t have “rushed” it’s release with how vulnerable the screen is-& it’s curved too, so hard to properly protect, with say a glass screen protector. It took a fair bit of arguing tho-threats to never buy another Geekvape mod & to tell my friends about my experience...they have been great with me ever since:) Just waiting to see what their “verdict” is-but I have emails saying they will replace it. It will go on the shelf I’m thinking when it gets back to me-probably next year sometime! Lol! :thumbs:long story short, I’m back to the VooPoo!
I also have a Tesla Punk Nano 120W (which only comes out at home, & when I’m in my recliner! Lol!!;))-I love that thing!! It looks super cool, & hits HARD!!
I’ve got a Asmodus lustro as a back up-that was bought for next to nothing-I haven’t even taken it out of the box-I’ve heard it can be a bit of a pain with its gesture control/touch screen-as I said, just a backup!
The latest purchase is a Dovpo topside Carbon, which is awesome-just a shame about the parasitic battery draw on YiHi’s.
& I run Nic salts in a VooPoo Vinci X.
    Sorry, long reply!!
I’m definitely doing much more research before I buy anymore mods-I can’t really afford to make too many mistakes! Fortunately, many of the Aussie stores I use are happy to put aside a tank/mod for me until I can pay/finalise my decision after doing some research-so I’m lucky in that respect!
I’m presuming u have Minikin’s-what do u think of them? The Minikin Kodama looks nice!:hubba:

All I can say about the Thor 2 is .
My second mod was an OBS Cube! Nice little mod:) And I always have liked the Tesla Punks, Cool:cool:
The touchscreen on your Lustro is very very easy to use, Asmodus have extremely user friendly mods.
I have 3 Lustro's and they are great mods!!
    As for my Minikin's:p I have 2 Minikin 2's and 2 Kodama's, My Favourite Mod:wub:
    Here's my little Asmodus collection:thumbs:

    Hello and welcome to ECF.

I actually got 2 Engine Nano's witha great discount from the official OBS store in Aliexpress. Only available in bronze"ish" colour but still great (btw, I checked out the product code and they came out legit in OBS site... just in case)

And in recent times also purchased 2 other RTAs that match the Nano in my style of vaping:
Intake single (need one more in black)
    Juggerknot Mini

Still haven't got my hands on a Serpent Elevate.

Hi everyone! Greetings from down under!! Just thought I would say hi! I’ve just signed up now, thought I had better introduce myself! I’ve been vaping about 18 mths-2 years, but fairly new to the building game-but it’s got me by the horns...it’s turned into quite the hobby, & I’m already starting to collect quite a few tanks, with plans to buy (many) more! Lol!! (I’m currently on the quest to find an OBS Nano Engine-wish me luck! Lol!!) I’m more of a flavour chaser than cloud chaser, &, I don’t mind the odd MTL either! My first rebuildable was the Gear RTA.
Unfortunately, due to financial constraints (I’m disabled & out of work right now) I’m mainly shooting for good Chinese (cheaper) stuff atm-high end is a bit of a dream & out of reach for me right now (Doesn’t stop me from dreaming about the Taifun GT4)
What was ur first rebuildable, & or what’s ur fav? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!!

I don’t know where u are in the world, but I got my serpent elevate from vape industries here-haven’t seen them about anywhere else.
    Cheers! :)

Hello and welcome! What kind of coils are you using? My suggestion is to keep it simple... round wire (or even rectangular) or claptons. Also, consider using cellu-cotton (rayon)
I’ve been looking into Rayon, and it would appear that it’s definitely more absorbent than cotton-but, it’s semi synthetic (and ur heating it up to boot) so I’m not sure about vaping on it-but that’s just me. Thanks for the suggestion, but I think I’ll stick to my cotton. I find “Wicked” the best (zero cotton flavour from the jump)-excellent absorbency-not sure how universally available it is (It’s hard to find anything on the net about it)-but my local stocks it. Generally I use Firebolt (fluffier/SUPER absorbent) for mesh RDA’s/RTA’-I’ve have never had wicking issues with mesh since I came across Firebolt!

Is it just me or does anyone else find hilarious what they put on the package for this brand of cotton?

Just in case you missed it:

    ''Not actual bacon.Do not ingest.''
Cant be serious,i mean they must have put it there because someone actually ate it thinking it was real bacon and probably sued them :lol:

    @Rachael J

Rayon is legit the goodness, and safe (assuming you dont go into the ridiculous heat level needed to make it less so), if you can get hold of it, nothing wicks like it and once the initial rayon taste is tooted out its the cleanest tasting vape...its not easily available in Australia which is why you dont see it everywhere or see people talk about it more. But i used it for years, sadly dont have any, and none to send as a tester. Back when i had some i used to send some out to people. Its usually quite expensive to import. If and when i get some again, ill let you know.

If you do decide to go it alone, heres my quick guide (link below to post) to Grahams CelluCotton, to avoid confusion, because far too many people have ordered the wrong box of Grahams CelluCotton...because for extra fudgery they have Grahams Cellucotton Cotton and Grahams Cellucotton Rayon. My post lists the correct SKU numbers for the correct boxes to buy, because otherwise the only way is to look at the (often tiny) text on the box to see 100% Rayon Fibres...

Also that post is in the main Rayon thread, for devotees of the stuff.

Well it seems that I got the wrong one... thanks for the heads up. I have been using a sample a friend gave me and love it (the rayon version) Luckily, I only ordered a small bag... will order the box of correct kind this time.
