The RBA deck can be rebuilt after the initial coil/wick are used up. You'll have to make your own coil and wick it. The OCC is disposable.
If you like the rba, but aren't confident in building coils, you can get the prewrapped coils. Oh so cheap, and rarely need to be replaced. Few prewrapped, some cotton, and it's cheaper (and I like the vape better) thar changing the coil heads.
Also, if you like the vape from the rba, take it to a shop with you when you are ready to replace the coils.
Like has been said, the RDA section is to rebuild. I use the RDA sections in all of mine because it's cheaper than buying coils all the time. I have some dark juices like Peanut Butter Cookie that junk up my coils in a few days, so rebuilding is way cheaper. But since you're no to familiar with building...learn battery safety first before doing so...please!!!!
Some"toppers" use pre-built coils AND have a deck that you can build your own coils on. Like others have said, I prefer to rebuild my own. But, for new people a factory coil serves better for them.

I did a few building now. some tries and errors but managed to get it done. But I am still not sure how often do I have to rebuild the RBA? How can I tell if the coil needs to be replaced? and when i change flavors, i know the cotton have to be replaced, but for the coil, do i need to change it?
I hate rebuilding the deck but I'm weird lol. I did hear the vertical coils are supposed to last awhile
Hello and welcome ECF. I use the Subtank mini and don't use the RDA, yet. I am using it on a TC device using the Ni200 coils. I haven't got the confidence to wrap Nickle coils. One of these days I will gain the confidence.

1. rebuild only when juices start to taste burnt (or as often as you please)
2. you don't have to change the coil just because you change juices. The flavor will stay for a few puffs, but changes quickly. Of course this really depends on the juice. Some flavors are more pronounced and stick around.
I thought it is easy to rebuild. I've watched a few youtube videos on how to warp the coils and I started it perfectly fine. except now i realized that there are so many other options i can choose to build it (normal coil, twisted, dual.. and i don't know how many more). gonna try one at a time to see their differences.
