1.1mg - 9mg. is a big window.

If you have a bottle of 24mg (say 30ml.)and dilute it with an equal amount of base (30ml.)the nic level drops to 12mg (half)

Now if 12mg is stiil too strong you can dilute it to 6mg by adding an equal portion of base (60ml.)

Of course you will lose a lot of flavour diluting it that much.
I use PG to dilute as it carries flavour best. Cheers.

hear = to hear a sound, done with your ears
here = location
does that help? ;)

And hitmetwice's instructions are spot on, it's not just about diluting with base, as you'll reduce the nicotine but the flavouring too.

What I don't follow is your range of "1.1 to 9mg", that's a huge variance and I've never seen anyone using a fraction for mg.

no reason to be an ......, English might not be their native language, and there is a lot of words that sound the same.

you can also dilute the liquid by getting the same flavour as a 0nic, or a compatible flavoured 0nic that works with the current flavour, using them the way hit described... that way you can keep the flavour.

there's a difference in tongue in cheek kidding around/teasing, and heck, because it might be because it's not their first language, it might actually help them understand the differences, and calling someone a name...

Anyways, I'm a lot more curious to the 1.1mg to 9mg thing, so hopefully the OP will respond about that. I would gather from tanks being used for mtl as opposed to dtl, but more info would help.

Today's mobile devices also have spell check / autocorrect, and may substitute a different word unintentionally. Sometimes technology makes us go backwards.;)

Absolutely, some of those sites that people submitted their auto-correct fails are hilarious.... :pervy:

Well I was kinda in the same boat when I started out.... bought nic levels way too high and couldn't handle it. What I did is purchase some 0 nic in the same flavors so that when I cut it I didn't sacrifice the flavor. I just did some trial and error until I got it down to where I could vape it without choking my guts out... don't know what I actually ended up with nic-wise but it was vapeable and that was good enough for me. Now I generally just buy 6 but also buy 8 and I mix all sorts of stuff up and try it out. If I don't choke, hey good 'nuff.

yup, lots of people end up having to do this with the store stuff.. the moment one person switches from mtl to a dtl sub-ohm tank.

I'm at the point were I'm having trouble getting my dyi right for me as I'm very sensitive to nicotine (while my wife and daughter went from 12+ to about 3 but still if I bring it down too much, they aren't "satisfied"), but at the same point, with none, it doesn't feel right, so now it a question of just a few drops and hoping for the best.. (and do separate bottles for them and for me)

The hard part with store stuff, is that some don't come as the "right" level (some are 0, 6, 12, 24), so you have to buy the two levels that adding them together will give you the in-between level. So math is involved... and can be a pain at times.

Meh... I feel like such a noob. Wanna mix my own but... can't stop buying shiny stuff. Wanna build my own coils but keep looking at the box and doing nothing. lol

As far as nic strength... to me it's just a number (somewhat how I feel about my age). Does it really matter if it is exactly 1.1 or exactly 9? The important question is: can you vape it without choking and is it satisfying your nic craving? If you answer yes to both questions, the actual number doesn't matter.
And yeah, the store stuff is all over the place, thus I have 0 nic all the way up to 18 nic on hand. Almost since I started I have never just put one kind of juice in my tank and vaped on it. Been mixing all sorts of stuff just to get myself a "happy vape". Made a few mistakes mixing flavours together but hey, that's what trial and error is all about. Learned a lot along the way and still learning.

And a few weeks after that you start will make you go "why didn't I start doing this a long time ago?!?!?!"

Like you, I was mixing my store stuff as I couldn't get a "happy with" flavour, then made the jump, worried at the time that I might have trouble as it seems complicated to get into (and expensive to start)... it didn't take long before I wanted to slap myself.

I now have a box with over 70 bottles of recipes or straight flavours now, been able to sort the preference of everyone at home, and have better flavours than store stuff now, as much at hand as I just remake/refill as needed.

For every 100$ I've spent on DYI, is worth multiple dozens of bottles' worth as opposed to maybe 6-7 of store stuff that's so full of sweeteners that it destroys coils within days... whereas the DYI stuff, the coils last me 3+ times longer (some over a month).

Same with coils... took the time to learn and get them right, and now it's crazy how much better my coils are compared to the pre-made stuff, and it only takes a few minutes to rebuild them.

It's doing the leap that seems like too much of a jump, but once you do it, you realize that it's actually not that hard at all and you save so much money, it's crazy. (and can end up being a fun hobby)

yup.... to all the things you said. It will happen, and probably soon. I think I wanted to have tried a variety of flavours before jumping in because, you know, you could potentially buy lots of different flavourings then discover you don't even like half of them. About a month ago I spent practically a whole day surfing some Canadian websites that offer DIY supplies and at the end of the day I had an order put together for over $250. lol *reality check* I think now I am much closer to knowing what I like and don't like so I could probably go with less flavours and still get a good start.

speaking of happy vape.... visit the happyvaper.com site cee...

lol... way ahead of ya.... already got it bookmarked ;)

If you're starting to look, here's the sites that I've dealt with and

For hardware, the best prices online:
www.CANVAPE.com Welcome to Canada's ultimate one stop shop on-line created for Canadian's to service your electronic cigarette needs. You'll find the highest quality products online for sale as well as the best pricing, service and sales. Quick processing and shipping all from within Canada's boarders. We are pleased to feature Genuine Joyetech products and a fine selection of the best available forsale from many other manufacturers! (they do have some DYI including nic, fast shipping)
FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics (slow shipping, the packaging isn't the greatest, huge selection)

For DYI:
http://thebrokevaper.ca/ (excellent nic, limited to 30ml for flavouring, fast shipping)
BestGlycol (no nic, just flavouring but great prices and large quantities available, shipping a bit high for small orders)
DIY eJuice - Concentrated Flavoring for DIY (nic if requested via email, various sizes, but out of stock for some items, just made first order with them, to be seen, but lots of praises from other people)

There's some others, but these have all been pretty good.

Since you're in the Niagara area, Canvape and Broke Vapor are somewhat close by (in Toronto-ish area), with Canvape having a kiosk that you can simply go to and get it directly, and I know the Broke Vapor does let you pick stuff up.

I've only been vaping for a month but after buying juice for one week I knew I had to get into DIY. For me, store juice is too sweet and too expensive. It's so easy to whip up a few bottles and throw it in the juice box to settle. I absolutely love dragon fruit, strawberry and sweet cream together. For the cost of one bottle of premium juice I can make 40 bottles of delicious juice right in my kitchen.

Thanks for the links! I know about all these websites except for the Broke Vaper which I will check out today. I am now suitably inspired to stop buying shiny stuff and start buying DIY supplies.

I'm sure I'll order online because going to Toronto is (almost) out of the question. Have you been there lately??? Meh... that's all I have to say (and I was born there lol). Mind you I will check to see where the Broke Vaper is... if it's in the west end I might consider it but if it's north or east, no way.
