Those are expensive.....Way too much. Those may be nichrome as they look to have a red band and the box doesn't have SS on the bottom.

Here first read this on the coils....The color of the ring band tells what material.
Clearing Up the Confusion About The Kanger SSOCC Coils

Then consider ordering from here in the future. A lot cheaper and note the SS on the bottom of the box.
$7.89 Authentic KangerTech SUBTANK SSOCC Coil Head (5-Pack) - 0.5ohm / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

They have the pink band on my coils I bought. And the box also says SSOCC on them as well and the pink band on the coils too.

hmmm now I am wondering if it is red that looks pinkish color band and yes your right about the box it doesn't have SS at the bottom? So why does it say SSOCC then if they are not SS ones? doesn't make any sense? please explain?

Thank Kangertech for the confusion. They are referring to the material on the shell of the coil not the wire inside. The shell is ss

Box SSOC Nichrome .5 ohm. Doesn't have SS in bottom left corner.

They can only be used in wattage mode. Start out low wattage and work your way up to what seems right for them

The body of the head is made of SS, the ss in ssocc has absolutely nothing to do with the type of wire used to make the coil inside of the head.
Ssocc is a family / model of replacement heads that fit various delivery devices.

With heat & use or sometimes a little e liquid getting on them the red gets lighter & the pink gets darker.

When was the last time you thoroughly cleaned the 510 connection points?
Any schmutz on the threads or pins will sometimes cause it to kick out or not allow TC use.
Part of routine maintenance keep all 510
mating surfaces clean, shiney & dry.

And I bought some spare SSOCC coils from amazon. And they are meant to be 0.5ohm but on my display screen it shows 0.64ohm? And when I change the wattage on it to more than 25 watts I start to get the burning sensations.

Also when I try to use the SS setting on the mod it also does the burning sensation and taste.

    These things are no surprise.

SSOCC are not stainless steel coils (despite the epic mess-up in the name by Kanger), so they work in regular watts mode. Do not use in temp mode.

A reading of 0.64 for a 0.5ohm coil is totally normal.

As for burning over 25 watts - that is common too. Many users reported dropping to just over 20w.

So, sorry to break the bad news to you.

Also, the red kit you are looking at - if you are in the UK that is not a TPD product. Be careful buying off ebay or amazon because you'll have no back-up.
I would not suggest buying a kit that is not really allowed to be sold and the seller has no rating for that product? It could be a clone (?) and well... your money won't be coming back if that is how they operate.
Oh... they are in probably in China too and operate a drop shipping service.

Ok thanks well I have only been in wattage mode with these replacement coils. And as I said I can not go any higher than 24 watts without them burning out. No Idea why!! Hence why I posted about it.

I cant even go to 30 watts like I could with the first coil that was already in it when I got this kit. I was also even able to do 45watts with that SS coil that was in it at first before it burnt out after 2 weeks. then in 8 days I have burnt out 3 of the replacement coils. And that is because the reading was displaying the ohm incorrectly so I couldn't get any higher than 24 watts. But thanks all for the help. I now understand it a lot better. Thanks soo much :)

ok, Well I have already been given a refund anyway for my mod.

But I will for sure buy those coils now from that other site the other use linked in a previous post :)

Thanks again everyone for the help. Headed to watch some tv now. Will check back tomorrow :)

You are not going to be able to get 30 watts out of that coil. Start off around 18 W and work up until it is okay. What difference how much wattage if the vape is what you like?

    Like I've already said,
The .5 kangar replacement heads are,
Red seals/o rings NiCr wire -
watt mode or if your power device claims to have a NiCr TC mode ( not Ni ) you can try that.
Black seals, kanthal clapton - watt mode only.
Pink seals sus316, ss wire - watt mode or ss tc mode.

Using the red seals .5 NiCr I'd start around 15w and gradually go up in power .5 - 2 watts at a time over the first full tank to prevent scorching/burning the wicking material.
I doubt you'll get it to 24w without at least dry hits if not burnt.

Higher watts does not equal better vape.

Great. Fasttech is a legitimate site but there is one thing that you may not know that could be important when buying from them.

Fasttech sells both clone merchandise and authentic merchandise. Items labeled Authentic are authentic. Clones are usually labeled "style" or "styled". So if you are looking for authentic coils for Kanger make sure they are labeled "authentic" on the site.
