Kangertech Topbox mini reading wrong resistance

Hi, I just bought a kangertech topbox mini, I used the pre-installed coil which is the Nickel (.15 ohms)... I tried to remove the tank and put it back just to select the option new atomizer, so that it will read the correct ohm resistance, but it is still showing 0.20... it should be reading .15 right?

Was the coil cool both times? The resistance of the coil goes up with temperature.
Maybe the coil is just off on it's actual resistance?

it seems to read 0.20 ohms on the duration that i am vaping, it doesn't change... i tried to use temp control and wattage mode... no change...

A difference of .05 ohms is not huge. The coil might be off that far, or the mod calibration. Also, Ni is famous for changing resistance with temperature. That's why they use it as Temp Control wire.

Ok, so irregardless on vaping via tc or wattage mode, i should not worry? i asking because it's new and it should read the right ohm resistance...

NO NOT vape a NI coil in Wattage mode. NEVER.
Neither NI nor TI can be vaped in wattage mode.

Ok... I think the question to this is answered... Thanks to all that replied... So reading the wrong ohm resistance but with .05 difference... i should be fine... ok... I will post a new thread on the correct settings/mode to use... I am a newbie vaper...

Never vape a Ni coil in wattage mode. They are for TC only. It isn't likely, but if you get a dry hit, so evaporating juice cools the wire, Ni wire can overheat and outgas some nasty chemicals. TC prevents this, so use it.
