Hiya

I got this "brilliant" idea to get myself a switchable power supply, like this one, fit some USB port to it and be able to use lower and higher than 5v voltages on PT v2.

What are your thoughts about it? Will that destroy the PT?

Best regards

Thx bearscreek, perchaps I should pop there then. Was actually thinking to catch Puresmokers team. Dunno if they still peek in here around.

Mwa, sure it's voltage regulator and honestly I don't care if mods like this are out..or in :) I just wanna enjoy my PTv2 on variety of voltages. Nothing less, nothing more.

Question is, will voltages over 5v kill PTv2 (I assume lower than 5v won't but it doesn't hurt to ask ;) )

I don't know if you mean a PS PT or not, but you can easily have a 510 PT at 3.7 volts by getting the kind with the in-line battery. I might sell you mine cheap. It almost has no mileage on it at all. I just couldn't deal with the lack of voltage.

i mean like one that plugs into the USB like the PS PT.

What I'm talking about does plug into the USB. It was for a long time just about the only 510 PT you could get. What it does is let the USB charge a battery, so it's about 3.7 volts. It has a small battery box between the USB port and the atomizer connector, with a cord running both directions. I think the battery is a 10440 or something like that (too lazy and busy to look it up). It's great if you like 3.7-ish volts because you can unplug it and run to the kitchen or bathroom for a while.
