I called it a swatstcoil on instagram lol. Thanks I was proud of it, one of my cleanest builds, not bad for my first quad ever and my first attempt on the 454, well first actual quad, a lot of people call parallels quads. I also have done a quad vert and hated it, also I'm vapeing on a version of one of deedupdexs builds. The second one doesn't look good without the wick ill upload a new one when I rewick it later, its an extremely flavor full vape.

Looks sexy, but that's a hell of a lot of metal to heat up, four 1Ω 26g coils. I'd like to see/do the same setup, still with 26, but with half the wraps, on a 50a battery.

Thank you, Iceman. I have builds on all of them. They go in rotation every other day using 4 to 5 different flavors. The Prometys, I use at work, and Herons at home with RDAs.

I change wicks every other day of use and rebuild coils when necessary.

The only 2 I am not using are the Quasars. Thinking about selling them both.

I make sure the RDAs are almost bone dry before I let them set. Especially the Origins. For some reason the flavor is not quite right for me if juice sets in the well for over a day without use.

So here is the infamous Ameravape Manhattan in Brass. I bought this mod simply in hopes that I would get a good performing/looking mod with low voltage drop. It wasn't until after I puchased the mod that I read about the crappy business practices of Ameravape (threatening to sue Todd for calling the mod a "pipe bomb", etc...). The same exact thing happened to me with V3tronix and the V3 Flip. It wasn't until after I purchased the mod that I found out about the public hissy fit they threw regarding the whole clone thing...

Anyway I am happy to report that my Manhattan DOES vent. I simply blew on the top of the tube and was able to confirm that it does pass air through the switch. So that's a good thing. I would've returned it had it not...And I am also happy to report that it does indeed perform well. It is a hard hitter....I haven't done any voltage drop tests with it, but it does seem to hit well.

I personally think the whole "competition mod" thing is silly TBH. A marketing ploy if nothing else....I don't, nor do I plan on "super sub-ohming" any time soon. Most of my RDA builds are between .4 and .8 Ohms, so the fact that the Manhattan can handle Amp limits up to 50 amps doesn't apply to me personally. I tend to stay well within the 30 Amp limit of my Sony VTC5's. I do think, though, that if they have mods out there that do NOT vent (Poor QC?), that marketing the mod as a super sub-ohm machine is asking for trouble.....

I must say that the switch is very nice. Smooth action.....The magnets are very strong, so the mod (depite having no locking mechanism) is not likely to auto-fire on its own.....All in all I am pretty happy with the mod itself. I just think Ameravape needs a little help in the PR department, as their current public image does not exactly invoke warm fuzzy feelings.....

Here's a pic. Mine arrived with a small discoloration about halfway down the main tube, but I am hoping is polishes out (or becomes less visible as the mod patinas).....The fit and finish of the mod overall is very good. Smooth threads, and a nice smooth switch...I am also a fan of the looks....It's a nice, simple looking mod.....nothing flashy like some of the other Manhattans I've seen out there...

After the crap with Todd, I wouldn't give them one cent. But, that's just me. All that aside, Rip's review certainly made it appear that it's a well built mod that performs nicely. All that really matters is that you're happy with it, bud.

I don't blame you. And had I known the whole story, I probably wouldn't have either. All I knew is that they had venting issues, and that they pulled it off the market because of that. I then saw a youtube vid of a guy proving that it DOES vent (or at least HIS did), so I decided what the heck......I'll give it a go....

At the end of last week going into the weekend (at the tail end of my business trip, long after placing my order), I began to read the Reddit threads and learned the whole scope of what happened. Not cool to say the least. And it's a shame, because I think it's fundimentally a good mod. Ameravape just shot themselves in the foot (much like V3tronix did).....

I am going to vape the Manhattan a bit then who knows, maybe I'll sell it. At least I can sell this one should I choose to. My V3 Flip is engraved with my initials, which basically renders it unsellable..... :(

Not sure if you're an Atmomixani fan, but their sale is tomorrow morning, 9:30am Athens time. So if you're looking for another 30mm/26650 mod, the new Nemesis 30 (with CNC engravings) are being released.

Oh cool! Yeah I love atmomixani's stuff. I am a little down & out money-wise though (last week's business trip wiped me out, so now I hve to wait for my expense check to come in!!), so I may have to pass on this one. My Super-T Precise Simplicity is a fantastic 26650 mod, though. I am REALLY liking it a lot! I would recommend Super-T's mods to anyone looking for a no-frills, very well-made mod....

Regardless of the actions of the company owner. Just on the MOD ALONE. I've never seen a mechanical that is designed this well. Again my personal opinion. I don't think I'll ever let mine go. I'm debating ordering another.

It is designed really nicely. Threads silky smooth, and very cleanly machined (I mean VERY cleanly)....Yeah they could've addressed the venting a bit differently so as to not cause alarm, but from my standpoint the mod vents as designed. I simply blew air through the switch and it vented no problem....

I am enjoying using it thus far. I will say that I personally would've passed on the mod had I been fully aware of how they've handled themselves. But now that I have it, I will likely just keep it. There's no denying that it's a solid performer that's very well-made and I personally think it looks very nice.....but all that is just IMO.....

there's a thread around here that's been talking about it all day. Seemed like damage control to me, but the reviewer actually chimed in on it. Looks like a great mod, and the fact that you guys have one without venting issues should help you, if you decide to sell. If i had it, i'd probably enjoy it tbh lol. but that mod isn't going to be produced anymore (supposedly) so it really should be a collectors piece just from the controversy alone. enjoy gents!

lol yeah I guess that's true....I didn't know about that thread but I'll check it out.

I am more mad about the V3 flip that I got engraved with my freakin' initials!! Now it's mine whether I like it or not.....Unlike the Manhattan (which I really like), there are things about the Flip that I do NOT like, like that fact that you can't service the switch...that bugs me. Or, the fact that it stands up crooked (Think leaning tower of Piza!)......

Tell ya what, I have a knack for unknowingly supporting crappy companies then finding out about the crappiness after the fact!!

Makes me so happy to be a customer of really GOOD companies too, like Vapourart for instance.... :)
