My picture skills aren't very good!$200+ mod, $25 camera......we know where you're priorities are![]()
Email them and ask them to figure it out. I emailed them about something else today and they replied within an hour or so. They are always quick.I've had a Gus Lord for about 6 months that I'm about to throw into the woods.
I cannot get power through the top cap assembly & I cannot figure it out. Although they sent a bunch of spare parts with it, I'm beginning to think something important is missing.
I get frustrated every time I pick it up.

Is the fuse installed and not blown?
I think the fuses from Gus are a 5 pack for that price and shipping is free.
I think you're right-- it seems to be the fuse. I finally removed it & the multimeter showed an open loop. Now problem is that I broke both spare fuses trying to install them.![]()
Choices now include seem to include:
A) Order a fuse from Gus & pay mucho euros for shipping
B) Find a 20 amp fuse locally or on ebay, etc. that will fit
C) Find a screw that fits can be fitted
D) Use copper wire....
I'll sleep on it.
Thank you, BreSha.I think the fuses from Gus are a 5 pack for that price and shipping is free.
You can get them for pennies each on eBay/Amazon but have no clue which ones they are.
Good luck. Sucks having a great mod you can't use.
No worries. I have 3 GUS mods, so I would love to buy a bunch of fuses on the cheap.Thank you, BreSha.
I'll probably email Gus for fuses unless I can find them on eBay/Amazon. Does anyone know what that style of fuse is called? When I search 20-amp fuses I find everything but these itty bitty things.
Thanks. I've ordered a couple of them! These are expensive at almost $3 each, but I THINK these are the right ones. Not positive though.

Hopefully some other Gus fans can point us in the right direction of cheap fuses.....
P.s. I think most Gus fuses are 12a and used to be 5amp.
Let us know if they work! Thanks. I've ordered a couple of them!
Thanks. I've ordered a couple of them!
Thanks ccwaters! I'll get out the calipers & the last fuse tomorrow!Digikey, Mouser, or a similar electronics component supplier would probably be a more economical source. They appear to be surface mount ceramic fuses. The linked is a 12 amp SMT ceramic fuse .44 cents each in single lot.
If you can measure the physical size you should be able to match it up for a fair bit of savings over Amazon.

Alternately if you can post up the measurements of the fuse I can link your choices from Digikey.
