I am really digging my Gus mods these days. There are a couple of small negatives with these mods though.... you need to use a light tough when adjusting the locking ring as the cap isn't threaded very deep into the tube and can easily fly right off the mod. Also, the top caps are thin and it is very easy to find your atty stuck and not much room to work if removing by hand. Other than that.... perfect. I even like the fuse for a positive pin. A bit of extra safety that I haven't even noticed performance-wise.

I love how the Kiss looks and the V2 brass telescoping mod was a steal for $73US (€66) shipped. Lots of Gus V2 on sale now at Gus Mods so I bought a couple.

I've had a Gus Lord for about 6 months that I'm about to throw into the woods.

I cannot get power through the top cap assembly & I cannot figure it out. Although they sent a bunch of spare parts with it, I'm beginning to think something important is missing.

I get frustrated every time I pick it up.

Email them and ask them to figure it out. I emailed them about something else today and they replied within an hour or so. They are always quick.

Is the fuse installed and not blown?

I think you're right-- it seems to be the fuse. I finally removed it & the multimeter showed an open loop. Now problem is that I broke both spare fuses trying to install them.:-x

Choices now include seem to include:
A) Order a fuse from Gus & pay mucho euros for shipping
B) Find a 20 amp fuse locally or on ebay, etc. that will fit
C) Find a screw that fits can be fitted
D) Use copper wire....

I'll sleep on it.

I think the fuses from Gus are a 5 pack for that price and shipping is free.

You can get them for pennies each on eBay/Amazon but have no clue which ones they are.

Good luck. Sucks having a great mod you can't use.

Thank you, BreSha.
I'll probably email Gus for fuses unless I can find them on eBay/Amazon. Does anyone know what that style of fuse is called? When I search 20-amp fuses I find everything but these itty bitty things.

No worries. I have 3 GUS mods, so I would love to buy a bunch of fuses on the cheap.
These are expensive at almost $3 each, but I THINK these are the right ones. Not positive though.

Hopefully some other Gus fans can point us in the right direction of cheap fuses.....

P.s. I think most Gus fuses are 12a and used to be 5amp.

Thanks. I've ordered a couple of them!

Digikey, Mouser, or a similar electronics component supplier would probably be a more economical source. They appear to be surface mount ceramic fuses. The linked is a 12 amp SMT ceramic fuse .44 cents each in single lot.

If you can measure the physical size you should be able to match it up for a fair bit of savings over Amazon.

Alternately if you can post up the measurements of the fuse I can link your choices from Digikey.
